UFC on Fox 23 Update: Yancy Medeiros to Meet Jingliang Li in Denver

The UFC on Fox 23 bill continues to grow, as promotion officials recently confirmed that Yancy Medeiros will face Jingliang Li in a welterweight bout on Jan. 28.

UFC on Fox 23 takes place at the Pepsi Center in Denver and is headlined by a women’s bantamweight contest between Valentina Shevchenko and Julianna Pena. The evening’s main card will be televised on the Fox Network.

Medeiros has alternated wins and losses in his last four Octagon appearances. Most recently, the 29-year-old Hawaiian submitted Sean Spencer in the second round at UFC 203 on Sept. 10. “The Kid” is 4-4 with one no contest during his promotional tenure.

Li, meanwhile, scored a first-round knockout of Anton Zafir in the first-round at “The Ultimate Fighter 23” finale in his most recent outing. “The Leech” is 3-2 in the UFC and 11-4 as a professional overall.
