Jordan Mein
vs.
Erick Silva

Round 1

Mein attacks first with a long jab and an outside leg kick, then counters a Silva punch with another hard chop to the Brazilian's lead leg. Silva clinches up and drives Mein against the fence with an underhook, but it's Mein landing a step-across throw that sends "The Tiger" tumbling to the floor. Silva gets back to his feet and the welterweights disengage. Mein lands a sweeping left hand from range, uses a back-elbow to step inside and then pops Silva with a hard right. Silva is on his back foot now, covering up a bit as Mein goes body-head with a combination. Silva finds the chin of Mein with a left hook, and "Young Gun" responds with a flush left of his own. The fighters trade knees to the body before Mein goes up top with a heavy combination. Mein is really backing up Silva now, getting more accurate with his combos as Silva's back touches the fence. Mein scores with a body blow, then a few solid uppercuts as Silva covers up in the final minute.

Sherdog Scores

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Mein
Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Mein
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Mein

Round 2

Mein pops Silva with a three-piece combination, finishes with an elbow and then takes the Brazilian to the canvas near the center of the cage. The pace has slowed from the first round, but now Mein postures up to slam Silva with a few heavy elbows. Halfway through the round, Silva seems stuck on the bottom, unable to mount much in the way of offense as he clings to Mein's wrists. Silva starts hunting for a triangle and eats a few more elbows from Mein. The Brazilian looks to sweep but gets stuffed back to the bottom, and now Mein continues his ground-and-pound from Silva's closed guard.

Sherdog Scores

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Mein
Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Mein
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Mein

Round 3

After a relatively uneventful opening minute, Mein secures another takedown and sets up in Silva's closed guard. The Canadian locks down Silva's left arm and begins landing right hands to his face, but Silva eventually yanks the arm free. More top control domination from Mein through the first half of the round. Silva is shifting underneath, looking to throw up an armbar or triangle, but the rangy Mein just stands up and breaks up the brief submission attempt. Another armbar try from Silva goes nowhere. Down to the final 60 seconds now, both fighters appear content to ride out the remainder of the bout in this position. Silva is making limited attempts to do something from his back, while Mein just stays safe on top. Silva gives up his back in the final 30 seconds but Mein can't do anything with the position before time expires.

Sherdog Scores

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Mein (30-27 Mein)
Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Mein (30-27 Mein)

Oluwale Bamgbose
vs. Alessio Di Chirico

Round 1

Di Chirico hops around in the center of the cage while the southpaw Bamgbose circles clockwise around the perimeter, neither man committing to any real attacks in the opening minute. Bamgbose switches to orthodox stance but can't find a home for his right hand either. Di Chirico catches Bamgbose stepping inside and hits him with a knee, but the "Holy War Angel" hits back with a left hand that cuts the Italian under his right eye. Halfway through the opening frame, the crowd begins to boo as neither 185er has really taken charge of the round. The slow pace continues down the stretch, and referee Herb Dean warns both fighters for timidity in the final minute.

Sherdog Scores

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Di Chirico
Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Di Chirico
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Di Chirico

Round 2

Round two opens with another dull 90 seconds, with Di Chirico controlling the center of the cage and Bamgbose hopping around the outside. The crowd is really letting the fighters hear it now, and with good reason. Di Chirico is pressing forward, at least trying to do something, but Bamgbose doesn't look prepared to engage. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Di Chirico catches Bamgbose in the Thai plum and absolutely flattens him with a clinch knee to the jaw. Di Chirico drops a follow-up punch, but Bamgbose is already out cold.

The Official Result

Alessio Di Chirico def. Oluwale Bamgbose via KO (Knee) R2 2:14

John Makdessi
vs. Abel Trujillo

Round 1

Trujillo touches Makdessi with a few right hands in the opening minute, though nothing that seems to faze the Canadian. Makdessi bounces in his wide stance, waiting to counter, but instead he catches Trujillo with a finger to the right eye. Referee Dan Miragliotta calls for the doctor, who quickly clears Trujillo to continue. Trujillo bounces into range and gets clipped with a Makdessi right hand. Makdessi adds an inside leg kick, then pulls the leg back as Trujillo tries to grab hold. Makdessi comes over the top with a left hand, takes a grazing uppercut in return. Trujillo rushes forward and gets popped with a counter right hand that knocks the American to the floor. Trujillo's left knee folds under him in an ugly way as he's dropped, but he climbs back to his feet without any issues. Inside the final 30 seconds, Makdessi catches Trujillo with a low kick square on the cup.

Sherdog Scores

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Makdessi
Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Makdessi
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Makdessi

Round 2

After a slow opening minute, Trujillo shoots from a mile out, manages to get hold of Makdessi's legs and drives the striker backward to the fence. Trujillo switches to a single leg and continues to dig for the takedown, but Makdessi is doing well to keep his balance, widening his base up against the wall. Trujillo goes back to a double, nearly secures a takedown, but Makdessi gets an arm up to post and stand immediately. Makdessi catches Trujillo with a few quick punches as they separate, and a few more low kicks from "The Bull" have Trujillo on rubber legs. Trujillo wobbles backward but manages to stick Makdessi with a hard jab as he retreats. A few more jabs and Makdessi's face is marked up, but the Canadian continues to be the aggressor in the final minute of the round., constantly walking down Trujillo with left hands and low kicks.

Sherdog Scores

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Makdessi
Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Makdessi
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Makdessi

Round 3

Makdessi takes the center of the cage and waits for Trujillo to come forward, sticking the American with a hard jab as Trujillo steps into the pocket. Trujillo's legs appear to almost give way, but "Killa" stays on his feet and continues to try and mount a comeback. Makdessi gets turned around throwing a spinning kick and eats a quick combination from Trujillo, who tries a takedown behind the combo but can't get anything going. Trujillo pins Makdessi to the fence with an underhook, then releases him with just under 80 seconds left to fight. Makdessi continues to pick at Trujillo's legs with kicks, but "The Bull" doesn't look to be taking many chances down the stretch in a bout where he should be headed for a decision win. Trujillo tries a few times to get aggressive, but Makdessi cuts him off with accurate counters each time. The fighter get in a bit of a scuffle after the final horn, with Makdessi shouting at Trujillo to "show some respect."

Danny Roberts
vs.
Nordine Taleb

Round 1

The southpaw Roberts opens with a loud leg kick, then narrowly misses as he fires one at Taleb's head. Taleb stalks forward, moving the Englishman backward toward the fence. The Canadian uncorks a right high kick that lands foot to face on Roberts' jaw. Roberts tries to steady himself by grabbing the fence, but Taleb follows up with a sizzling right hand that puts "Hot Chocolate" out cold. Referee Jerin Valel rushes in for the stoppage, much to the displeasure of the dazed Roberts, who was clearly out of the fight.

The Official Result

Nordine Taleb def. Danny Roberts via KO (Head Kick and Punch) R1 0:59

Galore Bofando
vs. Chad Laprise

Round 1

Bofando bounces forward on Laprise in a wide stance, hands low, while the Canadian sizes up his opponent from the outside. Bofando drops Laprise with a three-punch sequence, then pounces and tries to pound out "The Disciple," but Laprise recovers quickly and clings on to the London-based fighter's legs. Bofando's flurry subsides, allowing Laprise to get back on his feet, and now the welterweights tie up in the center of the cage. Laprise hits a trip takedown, landing in side control on Bofando's left with more than three minutes remaining in the round. Laprise looks to land some short, stapling elbows while maintaining heavy top control. Bofando kicks and flails underneath but can't find any room to escape. Laprise takes mount with 95 seconds remaining and begins dropping punches with both hands, while Bofando tries to kick up his legs and hook Laprise's arms. Sixty seconds left and referee Yves Lavigne is taking a close look, as Bofando doesn't appear close to escaping. Laprise turns up the volume with heavy left hands, and now Lavigne steps in to stop the fight.

The Official Result

Chad Laprise def. Galore Bofando via TKO (Punches) R1 4:10

Julian Marquez
vs. Darren Stewart

Round 1

Stewart clinches up and hits a quick trip takedown but can't hold Marquez on the floor in the center of the cage. The middleweights climb back to their feet and clinch on the fence, where Marquez tags the Englishman with a close-quarters elbow strike. Marquez follows with a knee, but Stewart eats it and drops levels for another takedown. Marquez climbs back to his feet, gets double-legged back to the floor but can't flatten out Marquez, who kneels and drives elbows into the side of Stewart's head. Three minutes left in what has been a busy opening round, and Stewart's face is cut open as he continues to dig for a takedown. Marquez just keeps elbowing "The Dentist" in the side of the head until Stewart gives up on the shot. Back comes Stewart, storming Marquez with a left hand and a hard knee before shooting another double. Marquez reverses to the outside, but it's Stewart hitting another trip and then climbing on Marquez's back. Stewart has one hook in as Marquez gets back to his feet; instead of trying to shake Stewart over the top, Marquez stands and finds himself in deeper trouble, as Stewart establishes both hooks. Stewart briefly hunts for a choke or neck crank, now drops off the back and gets clipped by a Marquez elbow. Marquez follows with a knee, gets cracked by a Stewart right hand, and the 185ers are going blow-for-blow here in the final minute. Stewart drops levels to try another takedown, but this time Marquez is ready and catches the Englishman's left arm in a kimura. Stewart puts his back on the ground, and Marquez transitions to a straight armbar but can't force a tap before the end of the round.

Sherdog Scores

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Marquez
Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Stewart
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Marquez

Round 2

Marquez presses forward with punches, gets Stewart leaning over and catches him in a standing guillotine. Marquez can't get the tap, so he releases Stewart's head and hits it with a jumping knee. Stewart swings back with a big right hand, now a stand elbow, and suddenly both men look like they're barely standing. The middleweights stand toe-to-toe at the fence and swing right hands at one another until Marquez drops levels to try a single-leg. Marquez gives up on the shot, looking absolutely exhausted, and now it's Stewart's turn to shoot a double. Marquez catches him shooting forward and snares Stewart in a modified guillotine choke, and this one looks tight. Stewart tries to work his way free, ultimately has to tap out, but he goes to sleep before Marquez can release the choke.

The Official Result

Julian Marquez def. Darren Stewart via Submission (Guillotine Choke) R2 2:42

Jan Blachowicz
vs. Jared Cannonier

Round 1

Blachowicz catches the incoming Cannonier with a body kick, but Cannonier keeps pressing forward. Cannonier lands a body shot of his own as he muscles Blachowicz against the fence in a Thai clinch. Blachowicz breaks out and sticks his jab in the face of Cannonier, whose forward pressure continues through the middle of the round. Blachowicz wheels up with a left high kick that clips Cannonier, then follows with a pair of straight punches. Cannonier swings forward, trying to get some striking going, but Blachowicz slips out and circles away. Leg kicks are working for Cannonier here in the final two minutes. Blachowicz misses with a pair of punches but lands a body kick on the end of the combo.

Sherdog Scores

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Blachowicz
Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Blachowicz
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Blachowicz

Round 2

Blachowicz snaps off a hard jab as Cannonier moves forward, and Cannonier replies with a low kick that spins the Polish fighter in place. Blachowicz fires a left high kick but can't find the mark, and Cannonier makes him pay with another clean low kick. Blachowicz sticks a jab, gets grazed by an overhand right Cannonier counter. Blachowicz fakes a jab and changes levels to drive Cannonier to the floor with a powerful double-leg. Cannonier works his way back to his feet within 30 seconds, and the 205ers resume their striking. A pair of straight punches from Blachowicz sends Cannonier to his seat in the center of the cage, and Blachowicz follows him to the mat. Cannonier rolls to his knees, then back to his feet; as he tries to disengage with Blachowicz, Cannonier pokes the Pole in the right eye. Referee Herb Dean pauses the fight, but Blachowicz needs only a few seconds to recover. Sixty seconds left in the middle stanza, and Blachowicz continues to pump his jab in Cannonier's face. Blachowicz lands a left hand, changes levels and drives Cannonier to the floor with another powerful takedown. This time, Blachowicz is able to keep Cannonier on the floor until the end of the round, though Cannonier is able to land a few elbows and punches from his back.

Sherdog Scores

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Blachowicz
Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Blachowicz
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Blachowicz

Round 3

Cannonier grazes Blachowicz's temple with an overhand right, but "The Killa Gorilla" doesn't follow up on the strike. Another right hand over the top knocks Blachowicz backward a few steps, but again it's just a single strike from Cannonier. Seventy seconds in, Cannonier is starting to find the mark with some heavy blows, twice clipping Blachowicz on the chin with blasting right hands. Blachowicz circles out to the center, breathing heavy, and uses some long punches and high kicks to try and keep Cannonier out of striking range. Cannonier certainly looks to be the fresher fighter as they hit the midway point of the final round, but he may need a finish here to win the fight. Cannonier overcommits to a combination, allowing Blachowicz to change levels and score another takedown. It's only a few seconds before Cannonier posts and stands. Blachowicz takes him right back to the ground and rides out the majority of the final minute on top. Cannonier rolls to his knees in the last 20 seconds and just makes it back to his feet before the horn.

Sherdog Scores

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Blachowicz (30-27 Blachowicz)

Misha Cirkunov
vs. Glover Teixeira

Round 1

Cirkunov opens with a few low kicks, then a left hand, and finally a left high kick that sails over the crouching Teixeira's head. Cirkunov catches Teixeira leaning forward and drives a knee into the Brazilian's breadbasket. Teixeira tries to clinch and gets punched away by a Cirkunov right hand. Two minutes in, Teixeira goes for a takedown, brings Cirkunov to the ground and attaches himself to the back. Teixeira has both hooks in as he begins working for a rear-naked choke. Cirkunov defends the choke but goes belly down, allowing Teixeira to posture up on his back and unload with heavy punches. Cirkunov is flattened out, unable to escape the punishment coming from Teixeira, and referee Herb Dean steps in to halt the contest.

The Official Result

Glover Teixeira def. Misha Cirkunov via TKO (Punches) R1 2:45

Mike Perry
vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio

Round 1

Perry takes the center of the cage and presses out on Ponzinibbio with a kick to the body. Ponzinibbio cuts angles around the outside, waiting to counter as Perry closes the distance. A few low kicks land for Ponzinibbio as the tense action continues into the second minute of the bout. Ponzinibbio gets Perry to bite hard on a feint but can't capitalize. More low kicks land for Ponzinibbio, and now Perry is starting to check the strikes. Perry takes the legs out from under Ponzinibbio with a punch behind the ear, but "Gente Boa" pops right back up to his feet. Perry gets Ponzinibbio backing up with a right hand; the Argentine is able to circle away and recover from the shot. Perry tries to chase him down again, gets clipped with a spinning punch from Ponzinibbio and then shoved to the floor. Perry gets right back on his feet, now inside the final minute of round one. Ponzinibbio catches Perry coming forward and pops him with a jab for the final strike of the round.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Perry
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Perry

Round 2

Ponzinibbio continues to work his low kicks in the opening minute of round two, but when he tries to go high, Perry catches a kick and hustles him against the wall. A right hand from Perry appears to sting Ponzinibbio, who tries to slow things down with a clinch but can't keep hold of the American. Perry continues to press forward, loading up on big right hands, but now the speedier Ponzinibbio is cutting him off with one-twos. Perry lands a hard kick to the body, gets spun around, and now Ponzinibbio tacks another low kick on to the lead leg of "Platinum." Both men are leaking blood from their right eyes as they stand in the pocket and begin slinging hands. Ponzinibbio seems to be landing the better shot with hard left hooks, but now he stops the wild swinging and goes back to jabbing Perry. A thunderous left hand catches Perry square on the chin, and he wobbles backward to the fence. Ponzinibbio tries to capitalize, but Perry recovers almost immediately and resumes his forward pressure. Ponzinibbio connects with a spinning backfist, now another heavy low kick, now a straight right hand. Perry is eating everything Ponzinibbio throws at him, but the Argentine is coming on strong here in the final 60 seconds. With 20 seconds left, Perry hurts Ponzinibbio with a big right hand, and both men return to their corners with faces covered in blood.

Round 3

Perry pressures from the center with right hands in the early going of the final round. Ponzinibbio stays behind his jab, but now Perry is starting to do some work with his jab, too. Ponzinibbio floors Perry with a spinning backfist, but "Gente Boa" looks too exhausted to properly capitalize. Perry stays on his knees, covering his head, as Ponzinibbio comes down to try and take his back. Perry gets back on his feet, only to be taken down again. Half a round remains in a closely contested fight that still appears to be up for grabs. Perry stands again, and this time he's able to disengage from Ponzinibbio. The welterweights resume throwing hands, now Perry goes to the body with a kick. Ponzinibbio backs up Perry to the fence with punches, then changes levels and puts the American on the floor with a double-leg. Ponzinibbio works from Perry's half guard with 80 seconds on the clock, landing short right hands as Perry tries to cling on from the bottom. Perry gets to his knees with 45 seconds left and gets caught in a front headlock. Ponzinibbio seems content to hold Perry in place for the final minute of the bout. Perry powers back to his feet with 20 seconds left, but he's exhausted and Ponzinibbio is able to punish him with a head kick on the fence.

Josh Emmett
vs. Ricardo Lamas

Round 1

The fighters trade low kicks in the opening minute, and Emmett bounces a heavy combination off the high guard of Lamas as they circle the cage. Lamas goes back to the low kicks, while Emmett fires a switch kick to the body. Emmett charges into the pocket with a three-punch combo, none of which land clean, but he finishes with a chopping low kick. Emmett touches Lamas with a left hand and raises his hands, trying to get "The Bully" to engage. The featherweights continue to fight around the outside, neither man landing anything particularly damaging. Emmett sends a right hook buzzing over Lamas' head, then follows up with a blistering left hook that lands square on the chin. Lamas drops to his back, out cold, and Emmett walks off with a sensational highlight-reel knockout, his first finish in the UFC.

The Official Result

Josh Emmett def. Ricardo Lamas via KO (Punch) R1 4:33

Robbie Lawler
vs. Rafael dos Anjos

Round 1

Veteran referee Herb Dean is the third man in the cage for tonight's 170-pound main event. The southpaws square up in the center of the cage, where dos Anjos strikes first with a low kick, then one to the body. Both men step into the pocket and connect with hooks, but neither budges from his spot. Lawler takes the center now, as "RDA" moves in angles around the outside. A low kick nearly knocks down Lawler, but the former champ keeps his footing. A pair of punches, then a left hook to the body connects for Lawler as he moves in to jam the Brazilian against the fence. Dos Anjos works his way off the wall with a Thai clinch and drives a hard knee into Lawler's midsection. Lawler runs dos Anjos against the cage again, and again dos Anjos escapes the position with use of the Thai clinch. Lawler shoves dos Anjos against a cage post, and the tangled dos Anjos boxes Lawler's ears as he tries to work his way free. The welterweights trade body blows, Lawler using punches and dos Anjos throwing knees.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 dos Anjos

Round 2

Lawler comes out aggressive, moving straight across the cage to bomb dos Anjos with punches. Dos Anjos, backed up to the fence, swings back and slows Lawler's roll momentarily with a hard left hand of his own. Still, it's Lawler backing up the Brazilian near the fence, constantly trying to close the distance on the ex-lightweight king. Dos Anjos continues to work the legs and body of Lawler with a variety of kicks. Dos Anjos staggers Lawler with a pair of left hooks on the ear and follow-up body shots. Lawler backs up to the fence, covering his body as dos Anjos pours on the punches. Dos Anjos is relentless here, trying to put Lawler away at the midway point of round two. Lawler survives the storm and grins at "RDA," and now it's the American's turn to push forward. Dos Anjos catches a low kick and socks Lawler with a left hand counter but can't convert it into a takedown. Lawler lands a pair of punches at the fence but dos Anjos slows the attack with a collar tie. Lawler finishes the round shoving dos Anjos against the cage.

Sherdog Scores

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 dos Anjos
Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 dos Anjos
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 dos Anjos

Round 3

Lawler looks to pick up where he left off, pressuring dos Anjos backward to the fence with punches. This time, dos Anjos is ready with a takedown that puts Lawler on his seat at the base of the wall. Dos Anjos tries to work his way around to Lawler's back but is blocked by the fence, and now Lawler is able to post and stand. Lawler takes the outside position as the 170-pounders clinch on the wall, and dos Anjos takes a look up at the clock with half the round remaining. Dos Anjos reverses to the outside position momentarily, only to be pushed back against the wall and roughed up with more body blows. Lawler doesn't want to give "RDA" any space to work, clinging tight to the Brazilian as they walk around the edge of the cage. Dos Anjos finally breaks loose, pushing Lawler backward, and Lawler falls to his seat in the center of the cage. Dos Anjos comes down to top position with just under one minute on the clock. Heavy elbows land for dos Anjos as he drops strikes through Lawler's half guard. Lawler is in a bad spot, but he only has to ride out a few more seconds before the end of the round.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 dos Anjos
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 dos Anjos

Round 4

Lawler presses forward but walks into a body kick from dos Anjos, then another. Dos Anjos ducks under a murderous punch from Lawler, then gives the American a kick to the lead leg. Lawler touches dos Anjos with a pair of short punches but there doesn't seem to be much behind them at the start of the championship rounds. Two minutes in, it's dos Anjos starting to be the aggressor, backing up Lawler to the wall. Dos Anjos lands a pair of nasty knees to the body, again from the Thai clinch. Lawler breaks free and steps forward, and now the welterweights meet in the middle of the cage. Dos Anjos soon reclaims the center, knocking Lawler backward with leg kicks and a straight left hand. Lawler is clearly injured, favoring his left leg as he leans against the wall, looking for a homerun counter. Dos Anjos is fighting smart, not giving Lawler any opportunities, chipping away with close-quarters strikes and clinch work. Lawler is absorbing some hard left hands, taking more punishment to the legs. Lawler swings and misses with a wild left hand in the last 10 seconds, and dos Anjos makes him pay with a flying knee and a standing elbow.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 dos Anjos
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 dos Anjos

Round 5

Lawler eats a jab and almost goes down as his injured leg buckles underneath him. Dos Anjos brings the pressure, backing Lawler up against the wall with a combination and then clinching with the former welterweight champ. Dos Anjos changes levels for a double-leg takedown at the wall, and Lawler wraps up from the bottom. The pace slows in the second minute of the final frame, with dos Anjos resting in top position and Lawler clinging on tight from the bottom. Referee Dean stands them up with 3:30 on the clock, and dos Anjos comes straight back to the clinch with another left hand. Dos Anjos briefly considers a takedown, now back to the Thai clinch. Lawler is trying to do something, throwing body shots with his back to the wall, but nothing he's doing is fazing dos Anjos at this point. Down to the final two minutes of a fight that is looking like a foregone conclusion. Dos Anjos continues to hold Lawler in the clinch until the 90-second mark, when Lawler tries to step out to the center. Dos Anjos glances up at the clock, lands a body kick and then attacks with a flying knee. Lawler backs up to the fence, and the welterweights resume their tired clinching in the final minute.
