UFC on Fox 8 Averages 2.04 Million Viewers, Captures 18-49 Demo on Saturday Night

While ratings were predictably down for UFC on Fox 8, the event still ranked No. 1 among the 18-49 year-old demographic on Saturday night.

According overnight figures from TVBytheNumbers.com , UFC on Fox 8 averaged 2.04 million viewers while garnering a 0.9 rating, a 40 percent drop from the promotion’s last offering on the network on April 20 and the lowest rating for a UFC on Fox card overall. The previous low came at UFC on Fox 3, which averaged 2.4 million viewers and garnered a 1.6 rating. The final figures could change once official ratings are released, however.

UFC on Fox 1 remains the highest rated event to air on the network, attracting 5.7 million viewers for a heavyweight title bout between Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez in November 2011.

UFC on Fox 8 took place at KeyArena in Seattle and was headlined by a flyweight title tilt between Demetrious Johnson and John Moraga. Johnson retained his belt by submitting Moraga with an armbar in the fifth round. The card also saw Rory MacDonald earn a unanimous verdict over Jake Ellenberger in the welterweight co-main event.
