All drug tests conducted at UFC on Fox 8 came back negative, according to the Washington State Department of Licensing.
The regulatory body informed Sherdog.com of the test results on Wednesday, revealing that 10 fighters were tested for both performance-enhancing drugs and drugs of abuse. UFC on Fox 8 took place at Seattle’s KeyArena and saw Demetrious Johnson retain his flyweight title with a fifth-round submission of John Moraga in the evening’s main event.
Both headliners underwent testing, as did co-main event winner Rory MacDonald, who outpointed Jake Ellenberger in their welterweight showdown on the Fox network. Octagon newcomer Jessica Andrade was also tested following her defeat to Liz Carmouche, as was Mac Danzig after suffering a second-round knockout at the hands of Melvin Guillard.
Undercard competitors Daron Cruickshank, Ed Herman, Germaine de Randamie, Aaron Riley and Yaotzin Meza also saw their samples come back negative. Four of those five emerged victorious in their bouts, while Riley dropped a split-decision defeat to Justin Salas.
