Papy Abedi vs. Besam Yousef

Round 1
The southpaw Abedi probes with some inside low kicks as the welterweights feel out the range. One kick lands hard on the knee and Yousef returns fire. Yousef gets in behind a left hook and hits Abedi with punches to the body, but Abedi trips him to the canvas and sets up in Yousef’s tight guard. Good left hand from Abedi on top as he stands and passes to half-guard. Abedi nearly passes to the side, gets stuffed back in Yousef’s closed guard. Referee Robert Sundel calls for action, so Abedi sits up and whacks Yousef with a few hard elbow strikes. Abedi stands again, punches at Yousef’s body and catches him with a knee as Yousef stands up. Thai clinch for Abedi as they work on the fence, driving more knees to Yousef’s breadbasket. Yousef responds with a hard knee of his own before going to the head of Abedi with an uppercut and an elbow. They trade more knees inside and Yousef lands a right hand before being taken down by Abedi before the horn.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Abedi
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Abedi
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Abedi

Round 2
Abedi gets in behind a left hand and scores with another knee in the Thai clinch. Yousef turns him around and starts working the body and head with right hands. Abedi seems stunned from an uppercut as he tries to get off the fence, and Yousef holds him there to slug with more right hands. Abedi hits another trip about two minutes into the round, this time away from the fence. Ref Sundel wants more activity, so Abedi sits up and punches Yousef’s body. It’s not much, but it’s enough to keep the fight on the ground. Sundel decides to stand them up with 1:45 remaining in the round and they’re right back in the clinch on the fence. It’s Abedi grabbing the Thai plum but Yousef getting the better punches in the clinch. Yousef sprawls on a shot, puts Abedi’s back to the fence and rips into Abedi with hooks to the body. Abedi gets off a couple knees to the body from the Thai clinch but eats even more punches in return. Yousef trips him to the floor just as the round ends.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Yousef
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Yousef
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Yousef

Round 3
Abedi tries to keep Yousef away with push kicks, but Yousef walks through them and they wind up on the cage again, trading knees to the body. After a minute, Abedi trips Yousef down and pins him against the fence to slug with left hands from side control. Yousef scrambles up, taking a few body shots on the way, and the welterweights clinch once again. Yousef connects with a knee to the body, puts Abedi on the fence and lands couple elbows over the top. More knees to the body, and now it’s Yousef hitting a takedown with just under two minutes remaining. There’s not enough action for ref Sundel, who stands them up with 55 seconds to go. Yousef comes at the slow-standing Abedi with a right hand and puts him on the fence again. He backs away and leaps at Abedi, connecting with a knee to Abedi’s face as the fight’s final offense.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Yousef (29-28 Yousef)
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Yousef (29-28 Yousef)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Yousef (29-28 Yousef)

Official result: The judges score the bout 29-28 Yousef, 29-28 Abedi and 29-28 for the winner by split decision, Papy Abedi.

Tom Lawlor vs. Michael Kuiper

Round 1
Lawlor gets in on a double-leg against the fence early, can’t finish the takedown and changes to a waistlock. Kuiper is doing well to sprawl against the fence even as Lawlor changes levels for a second effort. Lawlor runs him across the cage looking to secure the takedown but Kuiper won’t go down. Nice, wide base from Kuiper is keeping him vertical as Lawlor’s takedown attempt hits the two-minute mark. Shortly after, Kuiper reverses Lawlor’s momentum with a trip. Lawlor stands right back up and presses Kuiper against the cage again. Another big toss from Kuiper puts Lawlor on the floor; they get back up quickly, but Kuiper keeps Lawlor on the fence and slams him. Kuiper tries to secure Lawlor’s back, but Lawlor spins to go after another single-leg, pressing Kuiper on the cage as they stand. Referee Marko Gyllenland splits the middleweights with 45 seconds left. Lawlor has another shot stuffed and this time Kuiper punishes him with ground-and-pound, the hardest offense of the first round.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Kuiper
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Kuiper
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Kuiper

Round 2
Lawlor taps Kuiper with a left straight but gets backed away with a combination. Kuiper shoots for a takedown against the fence and Lawlor jumps guard with a guillotine attempt. It looks deep, but Kuiper gives the thumbs-up as he tries to relieve the pressure by posturing up. Lawlor won’t relent, keeping hold of the choke and squeezing until Kuiper is forced to tap out. Tom Lawlor gets the comeback win via submission at 1:05 of round two.

Ben Alloway vs. Ryan LaFlare

Round 1
Alloway comes forward swinging, but LaFlare ducks a punch and drives on a double-leg which he finishes after a struggle. It’s side control for LaFlare, leaning left to right on Alloway and trying to secure the crucifix position. Alloway keeps his arm out of danger and escapes to his feet, where he’s pinned to the fence. LaFlare struggles to find offense in the clinch but is able to hit another takedown midway through the round. He socks Alloway with a couple hard left hands as he tries to take the Australian’s back. Alloway stands up and uses a standing kimura attempt to try and shake LaFlare off. They separate for a split-second before Alloway swings and LaFlare once again ducks the punch to hit a takedown. LaFlare lands a couple grazing elbows on top and Alloway swings back with a hammer-fist from the bottom. More elbows from LaFlare as Alloway briefly throws up a triangle. LaFlare tries to mount, can’t and has to settle for landing a hard knee to the face as Alloway stands.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 LaFlare
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 LaFlare
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 LaFlare

Round 2
A brief clinch early in the round yields nothing for LaFlare, then he gets in behind an Alloway kick and hits another takedown in the middle of the cage. Alloway threatens with a triangle, can’t get it. LaFlare stands up and kicks at the legs of his prone opponent; Alloway tries to pop the New Yorker with upkicks but can’t, and LaFlare comes back down into half-guard. Alloway tries to buck out and instead gives up side control, then north-south position. Alloway gets to his knees and LaFlare frames up a brabo choke; Alloway peels LaFlare’s wrists off and gets to his feet with about two minutes left. LaFlare swings a good left hook to the body and shoots again. This time, Alloway is waiting with a guillotine which doesn’t stick but allows “Benny Blanco” to stay up. LaFlare lands a leg kick that chops the base out from beneath Alloway. He chases the Australian against the fence with punches, so Alloway comes off the cage to hit a takedown and drop a heavy elbow on LaFlare’s face. LaFlare drives forward on a leg to hit one more takedown before the horn.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 LaFlare
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Alloway
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 LaFlare

Round 3
Another wild punch from Alloway gives LaFlare an opening to get inside and take him down. LaFlare moves slowly as he works to advance from half-guard to side control, while Alloway throws up his hands underneath, looking to ref Kristian Hacklou for a stand-up. LaFlare postures up to break a triangle attempt and comes back down with a double-handed chop. It’s side control for LaFlare now as Alloway gets to his knees and crawls over to the fence. Alloway clambers up and tries to take LaFlare’s back, instead getting planted back on the canvas. Alloway stands up again and creates some space; he sees LaFlare drop his hands and take a deep breath and comes forward. LaFlare tries to take him down, nearly has his back taken, but does well to reverse and put Alloway on the ground. Alloway threatens again with a couple more triangles; LaFlare has it sized up by this point and backs out of them easily. They stand with 30 seconds left and exchange tired strikes, LaFlare getting the better with knees to the body.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 LaFlare (30-27 LaFlare)
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 LaFlare (29-28 LaFlare)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 LaFlare (30-27 LaFlare)

Official result: All three judges score the bout 30-27 for the winner by unanimous decision, Ryan LaFlare.

Marcus Brimage vs. Conor McGregor

Round 1
There’s no touch of gloves as Brimage comes straight at McGregor, swinging overhand punches at the taller man. McGregor breaks up the momentum with a hard uppercut, then makes Brimage think twice about coming in with a left hook. Another pair of uppercuts have Brimage hitting the deck, where McGregor pounds away with thunderous punches until referee Robert Sundel is forced to intervene. Conor McGregor needs just 67 seconds to win his UFC debut in impressive fashion.

Adlan Amagov vs. Chris Spang

Round 1
The welterweights feel one another out for the opening minute of the bout, Amagov missing with a spinning kick while Spang stays outside. A side-kick to the body from Amagov puts Spang on the ground, but the Swede pops right back up. Amagov goes inside and out with leg kicks, tries to throw up high with a hook kick and gets blocked. More low kicks from Amagov; they’ve been the only significant offense from either man through the first three minutes of the bout. Spang is stuck on the outside of Amagov’s kicking range and looks hesitant to come inside. They clinch with seconds left in the round and Spang lands a knee to the body before being tripped to the ground by Amagov.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Amagov
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Amagov
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Amagov

Round 2
Spang switches stances and backs out of the way of a flashy spinning hook kick from Amagov. Spang seems to catch Amagov off balance as the Swede comes forward with a punching combination for the first time in the fight. The confusion doesn’t last long, as Amagov plows Spang to the ground at the base of the fence. Spang is warned by referee Leon Roberts not to grab the cage as he tries to get back up. He nearly stands before being dragged down by Amagov, this time in the center of the cage. Spang peppers with punches from his back as Amagov tries to flatten him out on top. Roberts calls for action, so Amagov throws some punches at Spang’s ribs. Spang tries to wrap up from underneath and succeeds in getting the stand-up with 90 seconds left in the round. Spang creeps forward on Amagov, who launches more spinning kicks without landing anything clean.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Amagov
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Amagov
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Amagov

Round 3
Spang comes out aggressive, backing Amagov off with one-twos and cracking “The Wolf” with an uppercut. Amagov comes off the fence with an uppercut of his own which Spang deflects. Now more leg and oblique kicks come from Amagov, who adds a push kick to keep the forward-moving Spang at bay. Amagov tries a spinning elbow and Spang answers with one of his own. A well-timed push kick from Amagov puts Spang down as the Swede throws a spinning back-fist. With two minutes left, Amagov gets in on a double-leg and dumps Spang to the ground. Spang is right back up, but Amagov is glued to his back, throwing knees and looking to drag Spang down again. The Swedish crowd boos as the fight enters its last minute and Amagov has the local favorite immobile with a rear waistlock. Amagov throws knees and even head kicks from the back position, then suplexes Spang to the ground.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Amagov (30-27 Amagov)
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Amagov (30-27 Amagov)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Amagov (30-27 Amagov)

Official result: All three judges score the bout 30-27 for the winner by unanimous decision, Adlan Amagov.

Adam Cella vs. Tor Troeng

Round 1
Cella lands a good right hand and a body kick, but slips on the latter half of the combo and scrambles back up. Another couple punch-kick combinations from Cella land before Troeng changes levels and puts Cella on his back. Troeng stands and has to dodge upkicks as he comes back down to Cella’s half-guard. Cella tries head-and-arm control underneath but nearly gets mounted anyway. Cella rolls over and stalls out on his knees, allowing Troeng to sink in one hook. Both hooks in for Troeng now as he rolls Cella over and begins working for the rear-naked choke. A few punches from Troeng soften up his opponent, and quickly the RNC has Cella slapping the ground in submission. The Stockholm crowd cheers as Tor Troeng secures the submission win at 3:11 of the first round.

Michael Johnson vs. Reza Madadi

Round 1
Referee Marko Gyllenland has to work to keep Madadi in his corner before the bout begins. Once it does, it’s Madadi catching a kick from Johnson and trying to work a single-leg. Johnson shoves him off and goes back to probing with jabs and low kicks. Madadi dips in to slug Johnson with a right hand but gets turned away again on his next shot. From the southpaw stance, Johnson keeps Madadi at the end of his jab, then steps in to pop the “Mad Dog” with a three-piece to the body on the fence. Madadi grabs another single leg and puts Johnson on his back about two minutes into the fight. Madadi slams Johnson with short elbows on top, then sits up and drops back for an ankle lock. He switches to a heel hook, but Johnson escapes underneath and extracts his leg, coming out on top in the process. Madadi looks to swing his hips for an armbar, can’t get it and instead socks Johnson in the face with some hammer-fists from his back. Johnson maintains top position after a scramble. Madadi gets to his feet and Johnson drops him with a shin to the face, then tries to pound him out with punches. The wobbly Madadi gets back up and he’ll survive to see round two.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Johnson
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Johnson
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Johnson

Round 2
Madadi drags Johnson down at the base of the fence with a single-leg and immediately looks to get on his back. He takes full mount as Johnson turns around, then drops punches and elbows on the American who is suddenly in deep troubles. Madadi seems to be thinking arm-triangle, can’t get it because of the fence and instead throws more punches until Johnson is able to break free. They don’t stay up for long, as Madadi hits another singl-leg and sets up in Johnson’s closed guard. Referee Marko Gyllenland warns the lightweights to watch their fingers as they exchange grinding offense in close quarters on the ground. Johnson throws up his legs for a triangle and Madadi shucks the legs to wind up in half-guard on Johnson’s right. More short punches and grinding elbows land for Madadi, who has come back strong after the scare at the end of round one. Madadi is all over Johnson on the ground, giving the Blackzilian no room to breathe and keeping him pinned to the floor for the remainder of the round.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Madadi
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Madadi
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Madadi

Round 3
Madadi hits a takedown which is nearly reversed by Johnson, but the Mad Dog manages to stay on top and move to side control on Johnson’s left. Madadi briefly frames up a brabo choke, instead moving back to side control and popping Johnson with short right hands. Madadi changes to another brabo choke, softens up Johnson with punches and squeezes tight. Johnson taps. Reza Madadi jumps the cage fence and celebrates with his countrymen after scoring the submission win at 1:33 of round three.

Akira Corassani vs. Robbie Peralta

Round 1
Peralta stakes out the center of the cage while Corassani moves around the outside, feinting and twitching. Peralta tries to answer a leg kick with one of his own and gets a Corassani combination stuffed in his face. Good movement from Corassani on the outside is keeping Peralta off-target at first, but the American gets inside to connect with a left hand. Peralta backs Corassani toward the fence and both men swing for the fences, their punches going off one another’s arms. Now an uppercut lands for Peralta, who tries to clinch up behind it and put Corassani on the fence. Corassani shoves him away and cracks Peralta with an overhand right a few moments later. A left straight from Peralta has Corassani circling out, and Peralta catches him coming forward the next time with another uppercut. Corassani continues working slapping kicks to the legs and body, has he has all round. Now he gets inside to press Peralta on the fence. Peralta turns him around and lands a knee to the body, and the featherweights finish the round throwing hands.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Corassani
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Corassani
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Corassani

Round 2
Corassani is sidestepping Peralta’s power punches while delivering some jabs of his own. Peralta decides to switch it up and grabs hold of a single-leg, which Corassani defends by putting himself on the fence. More overhand rights are finding their mark from Corassani, while Peralta is pulling up short on his punches that are meant to counter Corassani’s leg kicks. Both men land right hands, but it’s Peralta who lands an extra one as he has Corassani moving backwards. A big left hand dazes Corassani, and Peralta charges in on him to add a knee. Corassani powers back to his feet, but he’s still not out of the woods as Peralta keeps him pinned to the fence. They trade knees to the body as they jockey for position along the perimeter with 90 seconds left. Corassani nearly finishes a double-leg but Peralta stays up with the help of the fence. Peralta lands a couple good punches to the body, an elbow up top. Corassani steps back and lands a corking right hand which nearly takes the legs out from under Peralta. They come off the fence and Corassani walks the still-wobbly Peralta down to tap him with another hard punch before the horn.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Peralta
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Peralta
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Corassani

Round 3
Corassani closes the distance on Peralta, first to throw punches, then to hit a takedown once Peralta starts countering. Pinned up against the fence, Peralta leans to his left side and starts working on a kimura. He gives it up and gets to his feet, only to have Corassani drag him down. Peralta pops back up and is tripped down again, this time with Corassani looking to mount. Peralta fends off the mount by sitting up against the fence, then gets back to his feet. Corassani stays tight on his back, looking to sink his hooks. Peralta turns around and lands a couple knees to the body before putting Corassani’s back on the cage. Corassani reverses it quickly, gets turned around again and takes some hard shots to the body from Peralta. A single-leg from Corassani yields nothing, so he changes to a double, then back to a single. Peralta stays up, but falls after landing a knee to the body. Bleeding from his forehead, Corassani finishes the fight on top, dropping elbows on Peralta.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Peralta (29-28 Peralta)
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Corassani (29-28 Corassani)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Corassani (30-27 Corassani)

Official result: The judges score the bout 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28 for the winner by unanimous decision, Akira Corassani.

Diego Brandao vs. Pablo Garza

Round 1
The taller Garza looks to go high with kicks as he moves around the outside. Brandao dips inside with combinations, finding some success to the body and keeping Garza on his toes. Brandao leaps in with a knee, answered by Garza with one to the body before the Brazilian hits a takedown. Working to frame up an arm-triangle from guard, Brandao has to go through some strikes from Garza as he passes to side control. Brandao gives up the choke as he makes it to side control, then latches on the arm-triangle again. It’s tight, and Garza appears to give a single tap but the fight continues. Brandao keeps squeezing the choke and Garza taps for sure this time. Referee Marko Gyllenland waves this one off at 3:27 of round one, giving Diego Brandao the submission win.

Brad Pickett vs. Mike Easton

Round 1
The bantamweights trade leg kicks early, keeping a few feet between one another. Pickett strikes first and boxes Easton’s ears with a punching combo. The Brit catches a kick and trips Easton to the ground, but Easton drives forward and nearly puts Pickett on the bottom. Instead, they get to their feet and Easton holds Pickett on the fence, wrapping up “One-Punch” with his left arm while using his right hand to strike. Easton drives a knee to the body before sweeping the leg out from under Pickett. The Englishman gets back to his feet and decks Easton with a hard, standing elbow in the clinch. They split with just over two minutes remaining. Easton stuffs a shot from Pickett and lands a head kick. Pickett lands an uppercut, but Easton counters with a left hand and takes Pickett down again. Pickett pops back up and drives on a double-leg. Easton defends at first, but Pickett elevates him and plants him at the base of the fence. Easton gets back to his feet and Pickett keeps trying for another slam to the horn.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Pickett
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Pickett
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Pickett

Round 2
Pickett is getting the better of the exchanges with clean, short hooks, but he’s forced to defend against solid head kicks and the Thai clinch from Easton. Both bantamweights stand in the pocket, throwing hands, with Pickett mixing it up to the body and head. Easton pushes Pickett away with a front kick; Pickett comes back with an uppercut before sticking his jab in Easton’s face. Another takedown goes for Pickett, but Easton is quickly back on his feet, where he’s pushed onto the fence. Pickett changes levels and takes Easton down with a double let; again, Easton is back up within seconds. Now it’s Easton hitting a takedown away from the fence with about 90 seconds left in the frame. Pickett gets back up, goes after a takedown and gets sprawled on. Easton puts the Brit on the cage, where Pickett scores with a knee and a hook, turns Easton around and blasts him with an uppercut. Pickett is storming back in the final seconds, decking Easton with shots to the body and elbows. Easton replies with some brutish punches of his own and stares Pickett down as the round ends.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Easton
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Easton
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Easton

Round 3
Easton pushes Pickett away with a kick to the body; Pickett leaps at Easton with a knee and comes up way short. Easton scores with a step-in knee to the body and gets backed off with a flurry of jabs. Straight punches from Pickett are getting through until Easton takes him down in the middle of the cage. Pickett stays active in the scramble and reverses to top position, where he stays tight in Easton’s open guard. Slow, grinding elbows come from Pickett on top before he passes to half-guard. Easton looks to post and stand, and Pickett tries to take the American’s back as they get to their knees. Instead, he picks Easton up and slams him to the ground. Guillotine attempt for Pickett fails as Easton squirms loose, but Pickett keeps him in the front headlock as they go back to their knees. Pickett releases the headlock as they stand with 60 seconds to go. Both men stick the other with jabs and Pickett connects with a knee to the body. Easton swipes Pickett’s face with a good right hook, but Pickett comes back with a four-punch combo. The bantamweights are still swinging when the final horn sounds, and this is going to be decided by the judges.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Pickett (29-28 Pickett)
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Pickett (29-28 Pickett)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Pickett (29-28 Pickett)

Official result: The judges score the bout 29-28 Easton, 30-27 Pickett and 30-27 for the winner by split decision, Brad Pickett.

Matt Mitrione vs. Philip De Fries

Round 1
De Fries changes levels and shoots an early double-leg, which Mitrione sprawls all over. The Englishman steps in to try again and runs into Mitrione, who shoves De Fries down onto the ground. Mitrione dribbles De Fries’ head off the canvas with a quick flurry of elbows and punches, and referee Marc Goddard rushes in to save the downed heavyweight. Just like that, it’s over, and Matt Mitrione has a 19-second knockout win.

Ryan Couture vs. Ross Pearson

Round 1
Pearson stalks from the center of the cage and denies Couture’s opening shot, but Couture is able to grab hold and push the Brit against the fence. Couture throws knees to the body of Pearson, who returns fire with short punches to the ribs as he struggles to stay upright. Changing to the Thai plum, Couture lands a knee up top. Couture throws an overhand right and changes levels, still can’t get the takedown. The next effort puts Pearson on his backside, but he’s immediately back to his feet, still pushed against the cage. Couture lets go with about 2:00 remaining in the round and Pearson walks straight at him. Couture fends him off with front kicks as he cuts angles, not letting Pearson get too close. Pearson throws a knee and gets shoved against the fence again. Pearson backs Couture off with a knee and lands a left hand before the round ends.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Couture
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Couture
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Couture

Round 2
Couture wastes little time getting Pearson back where he wants him, shoved up against the cage, where Couture can dirty-box and land knees up the middle. Couture releases and gets popped by a Pearson left hand, and they resume the pursuit from before with Pearson walking down Couture from the center. Pearson stings Couture with a shot to the body, and Couture nearly gets caught up top as he turns to look at his opponent. Pearson denies a high double-leg attempt and doesn’t let Couture clinch up this time. Pearson lands a left, ducks a punch and puts a right hook on Couture’s body. He catches a low kick from Couture and trips him to the ground, stinging Couture with a quick flurry of lefts as he tries to drive forward. A knee to the body catches Couture as he stands, and Pearson is all over him with a hard one-two as he turns around. A left uppercut finds its mark and Couture is on rubber legs. A right hand behind the ear and another pair of big left hooks finally drop Couture to the canvas, where Pearson pounds away as Couture covers up. Referee Leon Roberts steps in to save the downed Couture, giving Ross Pearson the TKO win at 3:45 of round two.

Gegard Mousasi vs. Ilir Latifi

Round 1
Marc Goddard is the referee for tonight’s light heavyweight main event. Mousasi strikes first with an outside leg kick, and Latifi gets spun around trying to return fire. Mousasi is stalking his last-minute opponent, trying to pick at Latifi with long, straight punches. Latifi is flinching at Mousasi’s feints and now shoots a double-leg on the “Dreamcatcher.” Mousasi isn’t having it and pushes Latifi back into the cage. They split and Mousasi goes back to walking Latifi down, throwing an occasional leg kick as he looks to pick his punches. Good jab from Mousasi snaps back the head of Latifi, who swings and misses with a murderous right. Left hook lands for Latifi but Mousasi keeps pressing forward, keeping Latifi’s back to the fence. A jab from Mousasi has Latifi looking to shoot, but Mousasi shoves his head away. Mousasi lurches after Latifi with his hands hung low and sticks him with a jab. A couple more jabs land for Mousasi before the end of the round as Latifi waves him on.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Mousasi
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Mousasi
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Mousasi

Round 2

Mousasi goes to the body with a jab; Latifi clips Mousasi on the chin with an overhand right. Hunched low, Mousasi creeps in on Latifi, who does a jog halfway around the outside of the cage. Latifi lands a right hand but eats a harder shot from Mousasi at the same time and is forced to circle out. The jab of Mousasi has marked up Latifi’s face, particularly the left eye and a cut on his right cheek. Mousasi turns away a shot and goes back to walking Latifi around the outside and jabbing at Latifi.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Mousasi
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Mousasi
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Mousasi

Round 3
Mousasi catches Latifi with a right, takes an outside leg kick in return. Latifi keeps circling clockwise around the outside, looking to escape Mousasi’s persistent jab. A spinning kick from Latifi goes off the forearm of Mousasi, who answers with yet another jab. Mousasi snaps off more jabs and Latifi’s face is a bloody mess now. Latifi comes off the cage and clips Mousasi with a hard right hand. Now a jab from Latifi lands, and Mousasi answers back with another. Latifi looks like he’s having trouble standing as he falls backward into the cage and pushes off to continue circling. Mousasi scowls as he walks at Latifi with 90 seconds left. Latifi is still swinging but can’t find his mark through the red mask covering his face. Latifi catches a low kick and trips Mousasi to the ground with less than a minute to go. Good right hand lands for Latifi, and Mousasi gets in an upkick before the fight ends.

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Mousasi (30-27 Mousasi)
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Mousasi (30-27 Mousasi)
