‘UFC on Versus 2’ Payouts: Gomi Earns $120,000

Takanori Gomi’s 64-second knockout of Tyson Griffin earned him $120,000, according to figures released by the California State Athletic Commission on Thursday. Included in that total, the former Pride Fighting Championships lightweight champion also earned the promotion’s $40,000 “Knockout of the Night” bonus for his first win in the Octagon. Xtreme Couture’s Griffin, notching his second defeat in less than two months, made $30,000.

Rising light heavyweight Jon Jones netted $46,000 for his commanding first-round win over Vladimir Matyushenko, while middleweight contender Yushin Okami took home the same for his split decision win against hungry wrestler Mark Munoz.

Light heavyweights Brian Stann and Mike Massenzio shared “Fight of the Night” honors, which boosted both their bounties by $40,000 each.
