The Ultimate Fighting Championship will return to London for a second consecutive year on March 18.

The Las Vegas-based promotion announced Wednesday that it will hold a UFC Fight Night card at the O2 Arena to kick off its European schedule next year. No bouts were announced for the event.

"The UK, and in particular London, is an incredibly important market for us. Time and time again we return to the U.K. and we are blown away by the enthusiasm and support from the fans,” said James Elliott, vice president and general manager of the UFC in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

“Never has there been a better time for mixed martial arts in this region. The U.K. has its first ever world champion and we have an extremely exciting pool of talented young British athletes looking to make names for themselves on the international stage.”

The organization last held an event in London on Feb. 27, when Michael Bisping captured a unanimous verdict against Anderson Silva in the UFC Fight Night 84 headliner. Bisping went on to win middleweight gold with a first-round stoppage of Luke Rockhold at UFC 199 in June.
