The Ultimate Fighting Championship has added an undefeated strawweight to contend with the best the division has to offer.
Karolina Kowalkiewicz has come to terms with the Las Vegas-based promotion to compete at 115 pounds, Sherdog.com has learned.
The 29-year-old Polish KSW export has finished three of her seven opponents as a professional mixed martial artist.
Kowalkiewicz aced her lone Invicta Fighting Championships appearance, outpointing the respected Mizuki Inoue by split decision.
“Dreams are there to meet them and I am one step closer to meet my dreams,” Kowalkiewicz told Sherdog.com in an email. “Now my goal is to be a strawweight UFC champion and I will face anyone who will try to stop me. I can't wait my Octagon debut that will be later this year. I am already in a good shape and starting preparation for my first UFC bout.”
A date or opponent for her Octagon debut have not been decided.
