Update: Condit Withdraws from UFC 108
Carlos
Condit has pulled out of his UFC 108 bout against Paul Daley due
to a "severe cut" on his hand, confirmed the fighter's trainer Greg
Jackson on Wednesday.
The news was reported on several sites and confirmed to Sherdog.com by a source close to the bout.
Jackson did not have a timetable for Condit's return, but said he expected Condit to resume training as soon as the cut had healed.
The welterweight matchup was scheduled as the UFC 108 co-feature. Scheduled for Jan. 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the lineup is headlined by a light heavyweight matchup between Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva. Additional main card fights include Joe Lauzon vs. Sam Stout and Tyson Griffin vs. Jim Miller.
The UFC is expected to find a replacement opponent to fight Daley.
