A rumored matchup between Donald Cerrone and Myles Jury is now a reality, as the two lightweights will square off at UFC 182 in Las Vegas on Jan. 3.

The bout was originally expected to take place at UFC Fight Night in Boston, but apparently plans have changed. Cerrone-Jury will serve as the co-main event at UFC 182, which takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a light heavyweight title matchup between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier.

Known as one of the promotion’s most active fighters, Cerrone has posted a 5-0 mark since November 2013. In addition to triumphs over Evan Dunham, Adriano Martins, Edson Barboza and Jim Miller, “Cowboy” captured an entertaining unanimous verdict over former Bellator champion Eddie Alvarez at UFC 178 this past September.

A former competitor on “The Ultimate Fighter 15,” Jury is 6-0 in the Octagon. The Alliance MMA product’s 2014 included a unanimous decision win over Diego Sanchez at UFC 171 and a first-round stoppage of Takanori Gomi at UFC Fight Night “Hunt vs. Nelson.”
