Conor McGregor has issued a rallying cry for Ireland’s national soccer team.
“This is where we introduce the footballing world to the new Ireland,” said McGregor. “An Ireland that makes no apologies for its success, and no excuses for its failures.”

McGregor also repeated the words which have become his catchphrase during his UFC run.
“Always remember: We are not here to take part; we are here to take over.”
Ireland’s Wes Hoolahan gave his country the lead early in the second half of Monday’s game, but the match would end in a 1-1 draw after Ciaran Clark headed home an own-goal in the 72nd minute. Republic of Ireland goes up against Belgium on Saturday in their second group stage matchup.
McGregor is currently in training for his Aug. 20 rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 202 in Las Vegas.
