It looks like fans will have to wait for a bit longer for a fight between Ultimate Fighting Championship mainstays Alexander Gustafsson and Luke Rockhold after Rockhold injured his leg in training last week.

This didn’t sit well with Gustaffson, who referred to Rockhold as “chinny” after his recent knockout loss to UFC middleweight Yoel Romero and told the Californian he’d be waiting to welcome him to the heavier weight class.
The bout between Gustafsson and Rockhold had been pencilled in at UFC 227 in Los Angeles on Aug. 4 but was never officially announced.
MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani reported on Tuesday that the former UFC middleweight champion Rockhold had suffered a leg injury last week in training and posted a graphic video of the injury being stitched up:
Rockhold is hoping to return to action by October. As for Gustafsson, he hasn’t fought since a “Fight of the Night” knockout of Glover Teixeira in May 2017 and only last month signed a new lucrative deal with the UFC.
