Video: Ronda Rousey Impresses in Debut, Brock Lesnar Retains Belt at WrestleMania

One appears to have left the UFC in the past, while the other’s Octagon return has been rumored to be imminent.

On Sunday, however, both Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar were in the spotlight on sports entertainment’s biggest day of the year, WrestleMania. Rousey hasn’t competed in the Octagon since December 2016 and recently said that a UFC comeback is about as likely as her competing in another Olympics for judo. On Sunday, Rousey teamed up with Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a tag-team match, which appeared to draw rave reviews from pro wrestling fans. “Rowdy” ultimately used her trademark armbar to force McMahon to tap out.

Lesnar, meanwhile, returned to the Octagon following a lengthy hiatus at UFC 200, but his victory over Mark Hunt was overturned due to multiple failed drug tests. Lesnar announced his retirement from MMA shortly thereafter, but last week UFC President Dana White said the ex-heavyweight king is coming back to the promotion and could even challenge for the title in his first bout. At WrestleMania, Lesnar retained his WWE championship with a victory over Roman Reigns.

Highlights of both Rousey and Lesnar at WrestleMania can be viewed below:
