A middleweight showdown pitting Vitor Belfort against Uriah Hall is now official for UFC Fight Night 124 in St. Louis.
Belfort previously announced the matchup on social media, and it was confirmed by the UFC through ESPN on Tuesday. Additionally, a women’s flyweight bout between Jessica Eye and Kalindra Faria was also confirmed for the event.
UFC Fight Night 124 takes place at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis on Jan. 14. The event, which does not yet have a headliner, will likely be televised on Fox Sports 1.
“The Phenom” last appeared at UFC 212 on June 3, when he captured a unanimous decision victory over Nate Marquardt. Belfort is 2-3 with one no contest in the Octagon since 2015. Belfort initially hinted that he was planning on finishing up his promotional contract at UFC 212 in Rio de Janeiro, but he changed course following the win over Marquardt.
Hall, meanwhile, halted a three-bout skid with a come-from-behind technical knockout victory over Krzysztof Jotko in the second round at UFC Fight Night 116 on Sept. 16. The 33-year-old “Ultimate Fighter 17” finalist owns notable wins over Gegard Mousasi, Chris Leben and Thiago Santos in the Octagon.
