WEC Announces Three Title Bouts for March Card

Zuffa-owned World Extreme Cagefighting on Friday announced the full lineup for its March 24 bill at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In the first of three championship bouts on the card, Urijah Faber (Pictures) (17-1-0) defends his 145-pound crown against undefeated featherweight Dominic Cruz (Pictures) (9-0-0).

The 27-year-old Faber last saw action in an impressive submission victory over Joe Pearson (Pictures) at WEC 25. Cruz outpointed KOTC veteran Shad Smith (Pictures) last November at Total Combat 18.

In other title action: John Alessio (Pictures) (18-9-0) faces Carlos Condit (Pictures) (19-4-0) for the promotion's vacant welterweight belt, and WEC bantamweight champion Eddie Wineland (Pictures) (11-4-1) confronts challenger Chase Beebe (9-1-0).

March 24's card also features UFC veterans Joe Riggs (Pictures), Brock Larson and Tiki Ghosn (Pictures).
