The World Series of Fighting 18 main event will move forward as planned, as both Marlon Moraes and Josh Hill made weight ahead of their bantamweight championship clash.
Moraes is 6-0 under the WSOF banner and will be making his first official title defense with the promotion. His last victory, a second-round submission over Cody Bollinger at WSOF 13, was changed to a non-title, catch-weight affair when Bollinger failed to make weight. The 26-year-old Ricardo Almeida Jiu-Jitsu standout captured the 135-pound strap with a five-round verdict over Josh Rettinghouse at WSOF 9.
Hill, meanwhile, is unbeaten in 10 professional appearances, including a first-round knockout of Mike Adams at WSOF Canada 2 this past June. Six of “Gentleman’s” victories have gone to the judges’ scorecards.
