World Series of Fighting has signed a pair of new featherweight prospects, inking Bekbulat Magomedov and Alexandre Bezerra to exclusive, multi-fight contracts.
The Las Vegas-based promotion revealed the new roster additions on Thursday. Both fighters will have a debut date and opponent announced soon, according to a release.
A 25-year-old native of Dagestan, Magomedov is unbeaten in 16 professional appearances. The Sparta Moscow representative last fought in September 2014, taking a unanimous decision over Meder Shermatov at an event in Russia. He has finished eight of his victories by KO or TKO and three via submission.
A native of Sao Paulo but based in Pennsylvania, Bezerra, 28, has competed for the likes of Bellator MMA and Cage Fury Fighting Championships en route to compiling a 17-4 career mark. After a 7-2 stint with Bellator, “Popo” parted ways with the organization in 2013. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt is coming off a loss to Levan Makashvili at CFFC 44 this past December. Bezerra defeated Makashvilli in his CFFC debut in August 2014 to capture the promotion’s 145-pound belt.
