World Series of Fighting’s next lightweight title challenger will be decided in November, when the promotion will stage a one-night, eight-man tournament in the 155-pound division.
WSOF on Monday announced the news via Twitter. The eight participants for the tournament were not revealed, only that the bracket will be part of WSOF 25 on Nov. 20 in Seattle.
The WSOF lightweight title is currently held by Justin Gaethje, who has successfully defended the belt twice since becoming champion at WSOF 8 in January 2014. The unbeaten 26-year-old in March notched a third-round stoppage of Luis Palomino, whom he will face again on Sept. 18 in the main event of WSOF 23.
