Alves confirmed the booking on social media following an initial report from Marcel Dorff on X (formerly known as Twitter). The event is likely to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, but a main event has not been announced. Other matchups expected for the event include Ramiz Brahimaj vs. Themba Gorimbo (welterweight); Luana Pinheiro vs. Angela Hill (strawweight); Vanessa Demopoulos vs. Emily Ducote (strawweight) and Hailey Cowan vs. Tamires Vidal (flyweight).
Alves (14-7), has gone 1-4 in his last five Octagon outings, most recently suffering a Round 1 technical knockout loss at the hands of Ikram Aliskerov at UFC 294. It was the Brazilian’s first middleweight bout since his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut.
Meanwhile, Magomedov (25-6) is on a two-fight skid after suffering a Round 2 TKO loss against former middleweight champion Sean Strickland in July and a unanimous decision defeat at the hands of Caio Borralho last November.
