Weekend Fight Odds: Mousasi, Gadelha, Page Among Biggest Favorites

A spectacular weekend of live combat is upon us with two UFC events, a Bellator card and arguably one of the most important bouts in the sport of boxing all year. All the aforementioned actions commences on Saturday, making for plenty of wagering options.

UFC Fight Night 99 goes down in Ireland on UFC Fight Pass, followed by UFC Fight Night 100 in Brazil on Fight Pass and FS1. Bellator 165 will be on Spike from San Jose, Calif., and Sergey Kovalev will take on Andre Ward on HBO Pay-Per-View in Las Vegas. But of the dozens of fights, only a handful of combatants are sizeable favorites as the matchmakers have done an excellent job in creating competitive bouts.

On the UFC’s end, highly-rated and regarded Gegard Mousasi is a large favorite over rival Uriah Hall. The Dutch veteran, who was knocked out by Hall last year, is currently a -550 betting favorite, according to online sportsbook Bovada. Hall, meanwhile, is a firm +375 underdog.

In other action, female fan favorite Claudia Gadelha is a -450 favorite over Cortney Casey, who is a +325 ‘dog. The only fight on either UFC card that is a pick ‘em is the Ross Pearson vs. Steven Ray duel, where both men stand at -115.

Michael “Venom” Page is a hefty -415 favorite over Fernando Gonzalez, who is a +325 underdog. On the boxing side, Ward is a slight favorite at -145 while “Krusher” is a minor underdog at +115.
