Strikeforce lightweight contender Lyle “Fancy Pants” Beerbohm kept his unbeaten record intact, as he submitted Josh Calvo with a second-round guillotine choke in the Rumble on the Ridge 14 headliner on Saturday at Snoqualmie Casino in Snoqualmie, Wash. The end came 20 seconds into round two.

Clad in his trademark multi-colored shorts, Beerbohm worked some ground-and-pound and defended an attempted armbar before securing the victory. The 30-year-old Spokane, Wash., native remains perfect in 14 professional appearances, with wins over four-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro and UFC veterans Duane Ludwig and Rafaello Oliveira.

Other winners at Rumble on the Ridge 14 included 2010 Bellator Fighting Championships heavyweight tournament quarter-finalist Mike Hayes (second-round submission against Matt Walker) and Strikeforce veteran Matt Kovacs (second-round technical knockout over Josh Bennett).

Yarbrough Chokes Hester at Wild Bill’s Fight Night 31

“The Ultimate Fighter” Season 7 quarter-finalist Cale Yarbrough submitted Clint Hester with a North-South choke in the Wild Bill’s Fight Night 31 main event on Friday at Wild Bill’s Atlanta in Duluth, Ga. Hester waved the white flag 1:18 into the third round.

Yarbrough, who trains out of the Hardcore Gym in Athens, Ga., has won eight of his last nine fights since his professional debut ended in a first-round technical knockout loss to Tim Credeur at UFC Fight Night 14 in July 2008. He traded blows with Hester throughout the first two rounds, softening him with knees to the body and legs from the clinch in the first and wobbling him with an elbow in the second. In round three, Yabrough stuffed a takedown and moved into position for the fight-ending choke.

Meanwhile, once-beaten featherweight prospect Freddy Assuncao -- the brother of UFC castaway Junior Assuncao and World Extreme Cagefighting veteran Raphael Assuncao -- posted his second consecutive victory, as he earned a unanimous decision against Maajid Al-Kush.
