Two-time welterweight tournament winner Douglas Lima has re-signed with Bellator MMA.
Lima has broken the appendage three times in four years, with the second injury causing Lima’s rematch with Saunders to be postponed. “The Phenom” told Sherdog that he will soon undergo surgery to remove the pins from a previous operation, a procedure which will Lima hopes will help him rehabilitate his hand back to 100 percent.
Lima has racked up a 7-1 Bellator record since joining the organization in 2011, with his lone loss coming in a failed title bid against Ben Askren. The Brazilian expat represents American Top Team Atlanta and owns 22 of his 25 career wins via stoppage, including 11 knockouts and 11 submissions.
