Wilson Reis will drop to 125 pounds for his next Octagon appearance, when he locks horns with Tim Elliott at UFC Fight Night in Tulsa, Okla., on Aug. 23.
Reis’ first two Octagon appearances came at bantamweight. The Bellator veteran captured a unanimous decision over Ivan Menjivar in his promotional debut before dropping a split verdict against Iuri Alcantara at UFC Fight Night “Machida vs. Mousasi” in February.
Elliott has faced a difficult road of late, falling to top flyweight contenders Ali Bagautinov and Joseph Benavidez in his last two outings. The 27-year-old Grindhouse MMA representative fell to John Dodson in his UFC debut before picking up wins over Jared Papazian and Louis Gaudinot.
