A flyweight title bout between Yasuhiro Urushitani and Shinichi Kojima will headline One Fighting Championship’s 10th event, promotion officials announced Monday.
One FC 10 takes place at Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Sept. 13. Two other bouts were announced for the card, as Stefer Rahardian squares off with Raymond Tan at bantamweight, while Vincent Majid locks horns with Eugenio Dauz Tan at light heavyweight. One FC’s first trip to Indonesia since Feb. 11, 2012 can be purchased via online pay-per-view for $9.99, and the undercard will stream live and free on Sherdog.com.
“This event is one of the largest sporting events in the history of Indonesia and features the two best flyweights in Asia squaring off with the first One FC flyweight world championship title belt on the line,” One FC CEO Victor Cui stated in a release.
Urushitani and Kojima have previously squared off twice under the Shooto banner in Japan, with both bouts ending in a draw. After suffering back-to-back losses to Joseph Benavidez and John Lineker in the UFC, Urushitani made a successful One FC debut on May 31, taking a split decision against Rey Docyogen.
Kojima enters the contest having won three of his last four fights, including a second-round submission of Docyogen at One FC 7 in February. “BJ” competed just once in 2012, dropping a majority decision to Nam Jin Jo at a Shooto event.
