Zabit Magomedsharipov has a date and opponent for his next Octagon appearance.

Promotion officials recently confirmed that Magomedsharipov will square off against Kyle Bochniak in a featherweight bout at UFC 223 in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 7. UFC 223 takes place at the Barclays Center and is headlined by a lightweight championship tilt between interim titlist Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Magomedsharipov recently claimed that five foes turned down a potential fight at UFC 223. The 26-year-old Dagestani began his promotional tenure last year with back-to-back submission victories over Mike Santiago and Sheymon Moraes and owns a 14-1 career record overall. Twelve of his triumphs have come inside the distance.

A six-time CES MMA veteran, Bochniak has gone 2-2 in four Octagon appearances. Most recently, “Crash” outpointed Brandon Davis at UFC 220 to improve is career mark to 8-2.
