Jason "Mayhem" Miller is free to fight for any organization that will have him, the middleweight confirmed through his management Wednesday.

Having fought most recently in the Zuffa-operated World Extreme Cagefighting, Miller said he would "explore other avenues."

"I like adventures," the enigmatic Miller said. "I'm the Lewis and Clark of MMA. More Lewis than Clark. Actually, whoever was tagging Sacajawea, I'm him."

In September Miller (19-5) told Sherdog.com that he had the option to compete in ICON Sport, for which he reigned as middleweight champion before losing to Frank Trigg (Pictures) late last year. Tuesday's news would open the possibility of Miller negotiating a deal in a competitive field of MMA promotions.

Ryan Parsons, who represents the 26-year-old fighter as part of Quest Sports Management, said "Mayhem" fulfilled his obligation to WEC and described the separation as amicable.

"I had a great experience with the WEC," Miller said. "They really know how to take care of the fighters."
