American Fight League Invites Atlanta to Join Them "Rooftop and
Ringside"
Fans Get Up-close and Personal with Local AFL Fighters
ATLANTA (May 8, 2008) - The American Fight League is hosting "Rooftop and Ringside," a VIP preview event, at STATS today, Thursday, May 8th, from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. to showcase local Atlanta fighters participating in AFL's "Bulletproof" fight night at Philips Arena.
AFL fighters Junior Assuncao (Pictures), Raphael Assuncao and Douglas Lima, all of whom call Metro Atlanta home, will be available for interviews. AFL cofounders BJ Santiago and Jon Hatton, who are changing the face of mixed martial arts and attracting competitors' athletes with their unique business model, will also be on hand to discuss the sport, their league and the upcoming fight.
MMA and wrestling fans can expect a surprise VIP attendee as well - a former WWE crossover who is in serious negations with AFL.
Throughout the evening, guests can compete at Wii boxing for the chance to challenge an AFL fighter to a Wii boxing match. Tickets to "Bulletproof" will also be raffled off, along with AFL gear. "Bulletproof" fight night, to be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2008, at Philips Arena, will be the first AFL fight in Georgia and will feature several internationally known professional fighters.
AFL will issue VIP media credentials for the "Bulletproof" event during the preview party; ringside seats and all-access passes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
