BAMMA USA ANNOUNCES THE RETURN OF BADBEAT MMA TO THE COMMERCE CASINO ON JUNE 11

(PRESS RELEASE) -- BAMMA USA (www.bammausa.com), the top regional
Mixed Martial Arts event provider in Southern California, returns
to the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California to present Badbeat 2
on June 11th, 2011. The night of professional fights will be
complimented by the ALFA League preliminary card where amateur
fighters are currently battling towards becoming the first ALFA
League champion.
Doors open at 4 PM, with the amateur fights beginning at 5 PM, and the professional bouts start at 7 PM. Tickets for this exciting event cost $100.00 for the front 2 rows, $80.00 for rows 3 and 4, $60.00 for rows 5 through 7 and $50.00 for rows 8 through 12. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling 714-912-8822.
Featured on the show is a main event including WEC veteran Chad
George who will meet in the middle of the cage against Strikeforce
veteran Bobby Sanchez in a bantamweight match up. George is looking
to make an impressive statement in his return to the cage while
Sanchez is coming off his career’s two most impressive
performances.
A featherweight firework show will compliment the main event as Sgt. Vince Ortiz takes on an experienced Bellator fighter in Georgi Karakhanyan. Back in 2009 Ortiz racked up a 7 fight win streak finishing his opponents in any fashion possible while Karakhanyan was simultaneously putting together a 9 fight win streak of his own in other various promotions.
Also featured on the card for Badbeat 2 is the “So Cal Kid” Chris Saunders who is currently riding a 7 fight streak in regional competition and will attempt to keep it going against a tough competitor in Josh Thornberg. Thornberg is a Strikeforce Challengers Series veteran coming off a recent loss to UFC veteran Terry Martin this past April.
In preparation for the nights Badbeat 2 pro card, BAMMA USA will also present ALFA League in it’s third installment. The ALFA League will features Southern California’s top amateur MMA combatants fighting out of world renown gyms such as Werdum’s Combat Team, PKG, Lighting MMA, Subfighter MMA, Millennia Fight Team, ACE BJJ and CSW amongst others, battling it out to advance towards the ALFA League and State Championship.
