BAMMA USA Badbeat 2 Fight Results from Commerce Casino

(PRESS RELEASE) -- BAMMA USA presented Badbeat 2 at the worlds largest poker casino, Commerce Casino, on June 11 and proved once again that they are the premier proving grounds for local Southern California talent. The event hosted 4 professional and 6 amateur mixed martial arts bouts including a main event finish that had the crowd going crazy.

The main event of the fight between Chad George and Bobby “the Kid” Sanchez ended about half-way through the first round when George was able to sink in an arm-triangle choke from the bottom, forcing Sanchez to squirm for air and eventually taping out.

Dominique “The Fallen Angel” Robinson took home the split decision after going back and forth with a tough Dionisio Ramirez. Both men threw everything they had at each other, including the kitchen sink, but neither would succumb to strikes thrown by the other.

Sergeant Vince Ortiz and Georgi Karakhanyan started their fight off quickly moving to the clinch and then to the ground after a foot sweep by Georgi caught Ortiz off balance. Vince made a quick attempt to stand up in the transition however Georgi was able to take his back, force the fight to the ground and simultaneously slipping in a rear-naked choke to finish the fight.

In the first professional fight of the night, Jason Williams defeated Albert Rios by unanimous decision after overworking Rios in each round. Williams showed heart going into the third round and enforcing his game plan upon Rios which gave him the nod in the judges eyes.
