'BIG' JOHN MCCARTHY IN NEW WEB SERIES
Jul 20, 2010
(PRESS RELEASE) -- Big John McCarthy fans will be happy to see
“Big” John make a cameo appearance in the new Web series Medallion
Mondays.
In the sixth episode, “Motiv8n’ U,” “Big” John McCarthy, the world’s preeminent mixed martial arts referee, tries to help Medallion Media Group President Adam Mock go on a vision quest by placing him in a rear naked choke. Fans will enjoy McCarthy’s smooth on-screen performance. “Big” John’s natural comedic ability will carry on in episode seven, “Let’s Get It On!” which will air next Monday, July 26, 2010, when he will referee a grudge match between Mock and “COISPORC” Josh “Ponceman” Perry. Both episodes highlight McCarthy’s upcoming autobiography, Let’s Get It On, written with Loretta Hunt, to be released in September of 2011 by Medallion Press.
Let’s Get It On (ISBN 9781605421414) tells the story of a man who
devoted his life to the critically condemned sport of mixed martial
arts and helped it to soar. This 350-page book will give the iconic
referee’s firsthand account of the sport’s roller-coaster journey
and will include a 20-page insert with pictures and captions from
McCarthy’s private library and from noted MMA photographers. The
color and black-and-white photos will chronicle moments of
McCarthy’s life and career.
