BRITISH FORCES BROADCAST SERVICE TV TO BROADCAST BAMMA 14

Dec 11, 2013

(PRESS RELEASE) -- BFBS TV viewers around the Forces world can experience the knockout action from the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BAMMA) 14 event at Birmingham’s LG Arena.

Live coverage will be shown on Saturday 14th December via the broadcaster 5* on BFBS Sport (Channel 07) between 2100 and 2300hrs (GMT).

All BFBS TV viewers based abroad with a BFBS satellite or cable set top box will be able to watch the four televised bouts: two welterwight, one middleweight, and a world lightweight title.

Debbie Barrett, Head of Acquisitions and Planning for BFBS TV said: “Mixed Martial Arts is hugely popular with servicemen and women. BFBS is delighted to be able to show coverage of BAMMA14 to British troops serving overseas.”

Well-known British fighters such as Paul Daley and Colin Fletcher will be showcasing their talent on the night. Speaking about his opponent Mansour Barnaoui, Fletcher said:

“Although I respect him as a fighter, I don't think much of him personally. By calling me out straight after winning a world title shows that he doesn't see himself as a true champion. Fans can expect an angry Freakshow. He's annoyed me so I'll be training harder than ever.”
