(PRESS RELEASE) -- Battles become brawls when MMA takes the stage
Oct 28th when defending Fist Series Belt holder Aaron "Blood
Spiller" Miller now 10-8 comes back to the Irvine Marriott Ballroom
as he goes toe to toe with local rising MMA star Joe Nicholas 7-3.
This fight is sure to entertain all fans in attendance and is set
at a catch weight of 150lbs.
Aaron Miller a Southern California native who is known as a strong wrestler with excellent boxing. Aaron began as a two-time Division 1 CIF wrestler and continued to grow through his training in Hapkido and boxing at Against All Odds Training Center in Monrovia, CA. His solid foundation has been perfected with continued emphasis on wrestling, boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Gracie Barra, Fullerton. Aaron is a high intensity fighter and it will show when he takes to the ring Oct 28th.
Joe Nicholas is by no means a stranger when it comes to Mixed
Martial Arts. With a pro record of 7-3, Joe has won his last 5
fights in a row with his last fight being the "Knock Out of the
Night." Joe holds the National Fight Alliance title in the 145
weight division. Joe has never been more ready for a fight and
Ballroom fans are in store for some serious MMA action.
Our first MMA fight of the night is set at 170lbs as Carlos "The Puerto Rican Express" Ramirez 2-0 is back to impress Ballroom fans with his impressive Muay Thai skills as he faces local Long Beach talent in Frank "The Strength" Pizzirulli.
Ready to accept the challenge is MMA fighter Frank "The Strength" Pizziruli 2-6. Born in Chicago Frank moved out to the west coast to pursue College Football. Frank quickly turned his sights on Mixed Martial Arts and turned pro in June 2009. Frank has fought for Gladiator Challenge and King of the Cage as well as being a veteran on the Battle in the Ballroom shows. Frank trains out of Bear Essential Combat under Bear St Claire. Frank says he has never been more ready for a fight in his life!
Plus, we all know it's college football season, but for one night a great college football player will take off his pads and put on gloves, and on Thursday, October 28th at the Irvine Marriott Battle in the Ballroom show he will step into the ring. This won't be just any college football player.... It will be former University of Miami running back Quadrine Hill of ESPN Magazine cover fame, as he continues to make the transition from success in one sport to success in another. Hill will face Francisco Diaz in a four round bout, of a solid six bout card, which will feature four pro boxing bouts and two pro mixed martial arts bouts.

Carlos Ramirez was born in Brooklyn, New York. Carlos first began
his fighting career at the age of 16. Then served in the Armed
Forces for 8 years with an Honorable discharge. Carlos set his
sights on the UFC and national competitions since then. He trains 6
hours per day, five days a week and is focused on becoming the next
UFC/MMA Champion. Carlos has an amateur record of 6-0 and a pro
record of 2-0. His Muay Thai skills are something to be reckoned
with and come Oct 28th they will be put to the test.
