CSL – Combat Sports Challenge
The Combat Sports League's (CSL) "Combat Sports Challenge" live
fight event had a "sell out" crowd at their CSC 23 show on Feb. 23,
2008 in Richmond's new concert venue, Toad's Place RVA.
The World Kickboxing Association (WKA) sanctioned show featured professional and amateur MMA and Muay Thai matches and was topped off with special guests Jens "Lil Evil" Pulver and UFC match maker Joe Silva. The new venue proved well for CSC promoters who packed the house, with a "sell out' crowd.
The CSC fight show is known for its diverse cards and competitive match ups, with the CSC 23 hitting the mark on both accounts. Full results from CSC 23 and photographs can be seen at www.CombatSportsChallenge.com.
CSC promoters will follow up with another show at Toads Place RVA on March 15, 2008. The show will feature both professional and amateur match ups in MMA, Boxing and Muay Thai. The venue is located in Richmond's established entertainment district and back-dropped by the historic Canal Walk. Tickets for this event are on sale now. It will be another great show you won't want to miss.
In 2007, the CSL began airing a show (CSL PURE FIGHT) on regional FOX TV and My Network TV. The half hour show aired on FOX TV Saturdays at 3:30 PM following ACC Football and on MyTV at 11:00 PM following UFC: Wired. "CSL PURE FIGHT" TV shows featured the rising stars of MMA, Muay Thai and Boxing from the top fight shows throughout the country. The shows producers (Sucker Punch Entertainment) and the Combat Sports Challenge promoters feel that the set up at "Toad's Place" gives both the live event and TV show a "Hard Rock Café" feel and look for filming the TV show's 2008 episodes. CSL is fast becoming the premier farm league for all forms of combative sports. CSL Pure fight will bring a new flavor to the ever growing combat sports world by airing multiple ring sport disciplines from promotions across the country.

NORTH AMERICAN COMBAT SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIPS will be held June 13-15, 2008. This annual amateur tournament provides both novice and experienced competitors the opportunity to test their skills in a tournament setting and possibly earn a chance to compete in the WKA Amateur World Championships.
