Jan 27, 2011
(PRESS RELEASE) -- MMA fans and media can follow the action LIVE
via CompuStrike’s new “live app” statistics program at www.compustrike.com.
This Friday, CompuStrike will make available in real time its stats for all fights televised by HDNet in the Titan Fighting Championship: 16. The card will include former UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia vs “The Ultimate Fighter” winner Abe Wagner, among other match-ups.
CompuStrike is owned and operated by CompuBox, Inc., which has been providing boxing statistics to boxing fans and the sports media industry for 25 years. The CompuStrike program, which was developed in 2007 to service the mixed martial arts industry, produces data in 26 categories, including Arm Strikes, Leg Strikes and Ground Strikes (each of which is further broken down into the sub-categories, Power Strikes and Non-Power Strikes) as well as a cumulative "Total Strike" stat. The CompuStrike program also tallies Takedowns, Takedown Attempts, Knockdowns, Submission Attempts, Dominant Positions and Fight Time (Standing and Ground Time).
The statistics are available to television broadcasters, website operators and other media entities to enhance live coverage of MMA events and/or post-fight reporting and analysis.
