"D.C. VS. BALTIMORE" BELTWAY BOUTS ANNOUNCED FOR UWC - CAPITAL PUNISHMENT APRIL 25th AT PATRIOT CENTER

Frank "The Crank" Camacho vs. "Binky" Jones, Kris "Savage" McCray vs. Ronnie Wuest Pit Capital Combatants Against Charm City Challengers

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters have come to the Washington, D.C. Capital Region to face its top local competitors at Ultimate Warrior Challenge (UWC) shows. Two fighters based in rival Baltimore hope to prove that the biggest challenges to the D.C. dominance can be found just a few miles north on Rt. 95. They will make their case inside the cage as part of the ten-fight event, UWC - Capital Punishment, returning to the George Mason University Patriot Center on Saturday, April 25, 2009.

Frank "The Crank" Camacho, fighting out of Saipan-Guam USA, by way of Temple Hills, MD, will face the tough challenge of EliteXC and BoDog alum Binky "The Baltimore Submission Machine" Jones. UWC fan favorite and Woodbridge, VA fighter Kris "Savage" McCray will look to remain undefeated when he takes on Baltimore-based combatant Ronnie Wuest.

Camacho will enter the cage for the first time since 2007. After turning pro in late 2006, the Lloyd Irvin Martial Arts student fought five bouts around the world and is anxious to battle in his backyard for his return. His most recent fight, held on November 25, 2007 in the Philippines, was a first round TKO loss suffered at the hands of Caloy Baduria. Since then he has been training hard to prepare for his return in his hometown area. Even though Camacho is known primarily as a freestyle fighter, Lloyd Irvin products always seem prepared no matter how a fight progresses.

His opponent, Jones, well-known to MMA fans the "Baltimore Submission Machine," has fought on some of the biggest stages the sport has to offer. A veteran of BoDog and EliteXC, Jones is looking to shake off a hard-fought, bloody loss to Kyle Baker at UWC-Confrontation in October 2008, considered by many as the fight of the night on that card. Before the setback, he had won three consecutive bouts, all by submission, including a rear naked choke win over Calvin Kattar on EliteXC - Primetime on CBS last May, on a show featuring Robbie Lawler, Gina Carano, Joey Villasenor and UWC veteran Justin Robbins. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert trains under John Rallo at Baltimore's Ground Control Academy.

In just a short amount of time, McCray has quickly become a UWC attraction and one to watch at 185 pounds. His magic formula: dominating, first-round submission victories. McCray's pro debut against Joey Kirwan at UWC-Confrontation in October 2008 ended after just 95 seconds thanks to an aggressive attack culminating with a rear naked choke. He dominated the Gracie-trained Manny Okorie at UWC-Man "O" War last February, and locked on the same submission hold at 4:51 in round one, to secure his second win. Look for the same fan-pleasing style for his third pro fight.

Fighting out of Gold Medal Grappling, he utilizes the hybrid "Amerijitsu" fighting style, combining traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with wrestling, boxing, sombo, and others. The result is an unorthodox style that can easily keep opponents off-balance. He developed a strong, local following during an undefeated amateur career where he captured the Ruckus in the Cage and Operation Octagon championships.

Wuest is a well-rounded fighter, skilled in boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, while comfortable grappling on the mat. When not in the gym, he is currently pursuing an MBA at Loyola College in Baltimore. Training out of the North Carolina-based Team ROC, the Charm City resident travels a long way to perfect his craft, but the results speak for themselves.

D.C.'s hometown superstar, Mike "The Hulk" Easton, will defend his UWC Bantamweight Championship title against top up-and-comer Josh "Taz" Ferguson in the evening's Main Event.

UWC shows have become the talk of the town and a hot new event on the D.C. sports scene, attracting celebrities like Alex Ovechkin, Donald Brashear, Mike Green and Nicklas Backstrom from the Washington Capitals, Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley, and ESPN's Tony Reali, among many others. Thousands of fans from across the region have packed the Patriot Center to witness electrifying world-class MMA combat in virtually every weight division.

Guiding one of the top organizations on the East Coast, UWC CEO S. Marcello Foran remains committed to building upon his goal for the company: finding and developing the great MMA champions of tomorrow. Fans can expect the same level of explosive cage fights, first-class production and crowd-pleasing environment as the UWC continues to provide the national capital region with the highest level of competition seen on the east coast.
