DUKE ROUFUS ACADEMY OPENS IN WASHINGTON COUNTY
(PRESS RELEASE) -- Milwaukee, Wisconsin based Duke Roufus MMA
Academy, considered by many to be one of the top Mixed Martial Arts
schools in the country, has opened a satellite training facility in
Slinger, Wisconsin at 1136 East Commerce Boulevard.
Duke Roufus Academy-Washington County is located just west of Hwy 45 and is in the same building as the BP Gas Station on the north side of Hwy 60. Ample free parking is available.
Recreational Muay Thai based Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts will be offered at the new location for men, women and children as young as 12.
Recreational MMA classes are also available for beginners , however prior Muay Thai Kickboxing and Jiu-Jitsu experience is required. This is not a hardcore MMA fighting class by any means.
Duke Roufus Academy's Recreational MMA offers the newer student a chance to "get a feel for" Mixed Martial Arts by using his or her stand-up Kickboxing skills combined with their ground fighting Jiu-Jitsu skills in the same workout.
A special "Women's Only" Fitness Kickboxing class is available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:00 pm and Saturday mornings from 10:00-11:00 am.
Please note: Duke Roufus Academy students may attend classes at both school locations, over 120 classes are available for the beginner student, over 140 for Intermediate students! Duke Roufus Academy-Central Campus is located at 320 N 76th in Milwaukee. There is no additional charge to train at both locations.
Beginners may start at any time at Duke Roufus Academy and students are never expected to spar or compete. Classes at the Washington County location will focus on proper form and technique, using the various martial arts as the basis for a great cardio and conditioning workout each and every time.
Advanced MMA fighter training classes will also be offered for students who have achieved a high level of competency in the multiple martial arts being taught and wish to test their skills out in organized tournaments and events.
4-Time World Kickboxing Champion, top MMA trainer and Roufusport Fight Club Head Coach Duke Roufus will be on hand Wednesday evenings to instruct the 6:00-7:00 pm Recreational Muay Thai class.
Brazilian Jiu-JItsu Blue Belt, pro MMA fighter and Roufusport team member Gary Schaumberg will be leading the Jiu-Jitsu workouts on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00 pm.
Duke currently trains UFC fighters Red Schafer, Pat Barry, Ben Rothwell, Rizak Al-Hissan and Alan Belcher, in addition to WEC star Anthony Pettis, plus a host of Wisconsin's top and rising professional and amateur MMA talent.
Roufusport will be well represented by Rothwell, Schafer, Barry and Al-Hissan on the upcoming October 24th UFC 104 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
