Dave Camarillo Seminar

Apr 16, 2008
This past weekend, Dave Camarillo conducted a two day seminar at United Martial Arts in Toronto, Ontario. Dave, who is a Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and a Judo Black Belt, is widely accepted as one of the best MMA instructors in the world.

Dave is the Head BJJ Instructor at AKA Kickboxing in San Jose, California, home to many fighters in the UFC. He is also the inventor of Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu, a groundbreaking system of grappling that integrates the Olympic sport of Judo with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, today's most sought after art.

Brian Beauchamp, a Toronto Firefighter, is a 3rd degree Black Belt in Judo, a BJJ Blue Belt and a former member of the Canadian National Judo Team. Brian states that:

"I feel Dave and I have a special relationship because of our Judo background. We both have put years of training into Judo and because of that, when we step on the mats, there are things that do not have to be said, they are understood. I was extremely impressed with Dave. I have trained with many of the best Judo players in the world, and Dave is tremendous at combining Judo and BJJ, as well as understanding the mental aspect of competing at a high level. I am very grateful for Dave sponsoring me for BJJ competition Gis and I look forward to training with him in San Jose in the future."

Brian is training hard for the 2008 Masters Mundials in Rio de Janeiro in July. He is currently training in Mississauga at Kombat Arts Training Academy, the largest mixed martial arts facility in Canada.
