(PRESS RELEASE) -- A massive card has been released to bolster the
inaugural EFC AFRICA heavyweight title fight on 21st October at the
Coca-Cola Dome, the biggest fight ever seen on the African
continent, between Bernardo “The Black Panther” Mikixi and Norman
“Chef” Wessels.
American Dave “The Pain Train” Mazany from Wanderlei Silva’s WAND Fight Team is to take on EFC AFRICA lightweight champion Wentzel Nel. Mazany, a Gracie BJJ purple belt, stepped in as a replacement for the injured Chris Bright and promises to “bring it all” to the champ.
The middleweight grudge match between Garreth “Soldierboy” McLellan
and Wade Henderson, and lightweights Costa Ioannou and William
Bentley wrap up the main card bouts, presented by MusclePharm, the
athlete’s company.
The remaining bouts feature a number of veterans and rising stars, as well as some top up-and-comers: Nolan Swanepoel vs. Chad Hepburn, Remo Ralph vs. Dino Bagattin, Terrance Griessel vs. Paul de Vos, JP Joubert vs. Lance Ceronio, Dallas Jakobi vs. Janus de Lange, Gina Ifuki vs. Damon Smith, Danie van Heerden vs. Jakes Els, Leo Gloss vs. JD Du Plessis.
