Fight Circuit MMA’s Premiere Event Was Victorious in the High Desert

(PRESS RELEASE) -- With over 1300 in attendance, high desert fight fans were dazzled by 9 professional MMA bouts at Maverick’s Stadium this Sunday. 18 warriors native to the high desert stepped into the cage for battle and gave the fans a show to remember.

High desert local, Joe Stevenson, winner of Ultimate Fighter Season 2, was in attendance with his victorious fighters Alex Reyes and Joe Condon from Cobra Kai. Both fighters put on an excellent show and their hard training showed. Reyes overwhelmed Bautista, who was a substitute two days before the weigh-in. Reyes took down Bautista a few seconds into the fight and then knocked him out with a right.

Officiating referees were Herb Dean and Larry Landless. Judges were Gene LeBelle Marty Denkin, and Lester Griffin.

“The UFC is big and everybody goes to see it, but those fighters wouldn’t be there without the grassroots shows and we need more of them, when young fighters travel for a match, they are often used to fill in open slots, thus facing more experienced fighters who are beyond their level of competition.” Fight Circuit MMA’s matchmaker Matt McPherson said “Fight Circuit MMA provides the right cards for young locals”.

“I was Impressed with a good show, it was well organized and great matchups. I can’t wait for the next one.” said Larry Landless

“I thought the fights were great, there was electricity in the audience and it was a beautiful day for this outdoor event. Memorable bouts were Gabe Ruediger vs. Adam Lehman and Joe Condon vs. Marlin Gustafson. Joe Condon’s match was really exciting, look out for him in the future.” Said Herb Dean
