The second edition of Luxemburg's Sportsfighting event number one, the "Fight Fiesta deLuxe", scheduled for September 15th, in Luxemburg-City, not only features top European and Brazilian Mixed Martial Arts fighters, but it also has two of Luxemburg's most promising mma competitors making their debut in front of their hometown crowd !
Nelson dos Reis and Nuno Sousa Senhor, both members of Fight Team Impact and training under Carlson Gracie Brown Belt Bartolome „Tolly" Aguilera, are going to make a very special debut at FFdL 2 since this will be the very first time they are going to fight in front of their hometown crowd. In the FFDL Light Heavyweight Division, Nelson Dos Reis is going to make his MMA Pro debut against „David" a tough opponent from the Belgium Team Shaolin, and he is looking forward to delivering an entertaining and hard fight, especially in front of his family and friends which is a lot of extra pressure to carry. Nelson Dos Reis' close friend and training partner Nuno Sousa Senhor will make his MMA debut in the Amateur Welterweight Division and anyone who's ever trained or sparred with „Nuno" or has watched him train and compete in other competitions, knows that this is a raw diamant that is looking to shine, come September 15th.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black vs Muay Thai expert The main event of the night will feature Brazilian Fighter Igor Araujo, who currently resides in Switzerland, and who's coming back from a win at our first event against Polish Grappling Specialist Marcin Krzysztofiak. He finished his opponent with a beautiful triangle choke in the second round and is looking forward to do the exact same thing against a very tough opponent from Belgium.Apo Kata Gome hits hard, very hard, and he's a feared fighter with Knock Out power in his fists. The young Belgium Muay Thai specialist likes to punish his opponents and he is going to give Araujo a really tough fight. Tapper, official promoter of the Fight Fiesta deLuxe, has announced that the winner of this fight will get a shot at the first Fight pic: Igor Araujo Fiesta deLuxe Middleweight Championship belt earlier on in 2008.
The new weightlcasses There's going to be a lot of debuts on September 15th. Having introduced the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Divisions at our first event, now it's the time to bring in the Big Boys and their Heavyweight Division, the Welterweights and those cardio maniacs from the Featherweight Division. In the Heavyweight Division Markus Hipp from the German Top Team is going to face off against MMA newcomer Alexander Phillip from the OC Fight Team.Both Expect a lot of heavy fists in this bout !
In the Welterweight Division we have Belgium's outstanding mma veteran and Shooto Amateur European Champion in 2005,Ludovic Boulvin from the Vitor Shaolin Team, a fighter with a lot of experience, who's won many titles and who's known to be a very good technical fighter both on the ground and in the stand up. He's going to fight against another OC Fight Team member Alex Wiebe, who's also an experienced mma fighter.
The Featherweight division is probably one of the most underrated divisions on the mma circuit ! Along with the Lightweights, these fights are almost always at very high pace, very technical and with an explosiveness that is phenomenal. „Deton" Pereira vs Robert Scott Westermann promises to be a fight just like that. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt „Deton" Pereira, a Brazilian native residing in Switzerland, is going to face one of his toughtest oppenents so far in Robert Scott Westermann, who's 5-1 and looking to put another win on his record.
In our Amateur League we have 2 fights coming up, one that will be in the Welterweight Division, featuring Nuno Sousa Senhor and anohter one in the Middleweight Division.
Muay Thai Exhibition fight featuring Cash Pazooki As a very special feature for our second event we have Mister Cash Pazooki, a veteran Muay Thai fighter and the official representative of the WKN-Luxemburg, doing a special exhibition fight against an opponent to be announced very soon. The Iranian born Muay Thai A-Classe Pro-fighter has an incredible fight record with 39 wins and only 5 losses and is one Luxemburg's most active fighter and trainer.
