Fighters Only Announces Bas Rutten as a 2011 World MMA Awards Finalist

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Fighters Only 2011 World MMA Awards is just
around the corner and MMA Legend Bas Rutten is
honored to be a finalist in the ‘MMA Personality of the Year’
category. Now that the coveted list of finalists has been revealed,
it is up to the fans to cast their vote and determine who will
emerge as winners. Fans can vote now through Nov. 25 at
www.worldmmaawards.com.
The World MMA Awards was created in 2008 by Fighters Only magazine to celebrate the achievements of people who make MMA such a great sport. This year's awards culminate with a black-tie, red-carpet ceremony that will take place on November 30, at The Pearl at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. Broadcast plans are expected to be announced in the near future.
This will be fourth edition of the annual awards. The expert panel,
consisting International editors from Fighters Only magazine and a
selection of guests panelists, has selected five finalists in each
of 22 different award categories such as ‘Charles "Mask" Lewis
Fighter of the Year’, ‘Fight of the Year’, ‘Ring Entrance of the
Year’, ‘Knockout of the Year’, ‘MMA Journalist of the Year’,
‘Comeback of the Year’, and many others. A special Lifetime
Achievement award will also be presented at the official
ceremony.
