(PRESS RELEASE) -- Pro Fighter Amir Khillah of Lightning Kicks
Martial Arts will be teaching a one-credit MMA class at Western
Michigan University during the fall semester, PEGN 1750, the class
proved to be a huge hit with the class completely filling up two
months prior to the start of the semester.
This MMA class for physical education is the first of its kind offered by a major university in the state of Michigan.
"I am very excited to be able to introduce mixed martial arts to main stream students in this way, I hope that that students will be good ambassadors for our sport and help the program grow at Western Michigan University," said Khillah, a former member of UFC hall of fame member Matt Hughes' team, currently a full-time professional fighter for the legendary Jeremy Horn (Horn's Elite Performance).
Khillah is also an alumni of Western Michigan University holding a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and Master's in Pedagogy (coaching), if you are interested in learning more about the class at Western or about Lightning Kicks please contact the university.
