(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians is pleased to be hosting the Gladiator Challenge, one of the longest-running mixed martial arts promotions today, October 10th at 7 p.m. at the Shingle Springs Rancheria. Gates open at 5 p.m. and parking will be available in Red Hawk Casino’s parking garage. A shuttle will take guests from the casino to the event. The main event will feature the return of two time world champion James “The Educator” Fanshier, who will take on local stand-out fighter and world class karate and kickboxing champion, Anthony Vargas. It will be the first time Fansheir has headlined a local fight card in two years. “We are extremely excited to be promoting our Mixed Martial Arts brand with Red Hawk Casino at the Shingle Springs Rancheria,” said Tedd Williams, executive producer, Gladiator Challenge. “Our guests can expect a full night of highly competitive MMA action between some of the legends of the Gladiator Challenge.”
