GPG Casting Calls for ‘Warrior Island’ Announced for Arizona and New Jersey

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Los Angeles, CA – October 10, 2012 – Global Proving Ground (GPG), a revolutionary platform that enables combat sports athletes to showcase their skills on a global level, continues to travel the world in search of elite martial arts talent for the new reality series ‘Warrior Island'. The organization announced today that the next round of open casting calls will take place this month in Arizona and New Jersey.

The show’s creator is in search of skilled combat sports fighters that have the raw talent and drive that it takes to beat anyone on any continent, as well as the all-important social skills needed to win the hearts of fans worldwide. Like all GPG projects, the fans will decide who makes the cut! Fight fans across the globe are encouraged to view and vote for their favorite GPG fighter videos on the GPG YouTube page. The top 16 fighters, along with 4 alternates will be sent to 'Warrior Island'.

Are you a combat sports athlete in Arizona, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware or New Jersey? Do you think that you have what it takes to make it to ‘Warrior Island’? Now is your chance to prove it! GPG welcomes combat sports athletes of all weight classes, forms and disciplines to come out and showcase your skills.

On October 18, 2012 Dan “The Beast” Severn will host a casting call in Tempe, Arizona at the Arizona Defense Academy. Fighter tryout videos will be filmed from 10am-1pm and from 3pm-8pm MST. All competitors that plan to attend the open casting call in Arizona must RSVP to Mr. Severn’s office in advance at [email protected]. Each competitor will receive an email confirmation along with a questionnaire that will help them prepare for the casting call.

On October 20, 2012 an open casting call will be held for fighters in Philadelphia, New York, Delaware and the South Jersey area during the Medford Works Festival in historic Medford, NJ. Fighter tryout videos will be filmed from Noon to 3pm EST on Bank Street (off of Main Street Medford). All competitors that plan to attend the open casting call in Pennsylvania must RSVP to James Jefferson at [email protected].

During each open casting call, reality show hopefuls will be required to demonstrate their fighting skills and tell the world why fight fans should vote them onto the show. ALL experienced fighters with a combat sports background are encouraged to try out. GPG ‘Warrior Island’ auditions are open to all experienced martial artists, not just MMA fighters. Training gear will be available for fighter use during filming. Coaches are welcome to attend.

GPG will be release additional casting call dates and locations in the coming weeks, including additional international casting call announcements. Fighters that can’t make it out to one of the open casting calls can personally submit a try-out video through the GPG YouTube page.
