"It is a great honor to host the renowned Renzo Gracie tournament, and I am especially excited for the fans and athletes who'll have the opportunity to watch and participate in such a high-caliber event," said Paul Paone, MMA World Expo's founder and director.

"The Renzo Gracie Academy is excited to be a part of the MMA World Expo and for the opportunity to further demonstrate the significance of the ground game in mixed martial arts, especially Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu," said Renzo Gracie, the legendary martial artist.

The tournament runs both show days and spectator fees are included with expo admission. Competitor registration is available at www.renzogracie.com

Muay Thai Bouts and New Take-Down Tournament Take-On Productions, in association with The WAT, will be presenting an all-star card of professional and amateur Muay Thai fights in center-ring action for attendees of the 2010 MMA World Expo. Both standing room and reserved seating will be available for the scheduled bouts set to take place on both show days.

Rounding out the live action will be a No-Gi Take Down tournament which will pit various styles of martial artists against one another in a bid to take their opponent to the mat. "In most MMA fights, a key component to a successful outing is the take down," said tournament director, Mark Yehia of Elite Plus Fitness and added, "MMA fighters have to find ways of mastering this maneuver to win." The tournament will be a point-based competition and will offer five weight-divisions. The event will take place on Saturday, November 13th.

Live Demos, Seminars and Signings

Live martial arts demonstrations, led by the industry's most well-known instructors and fighters, will take place on the center-stage mats. This year's event will feature extended presentations with new and returning demo presenters including: Kru Phil Nurse, Renzo Gracie, Marcello Garcia, Vitor Shaolin Ribeiro, Jimmy Pedro, and others pros. Spectators will be treated to demonstrations representing multiple disciplines of martial arts including: wrestling, jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, judo and more.

Also featured at MMA World Expo 2010 will be seminars and panel discussions on mixed martial arts topics including: "State of MMA: Past, Present and Future" led by Eddie Goldman, MMA sports journalist; "MMA Injuries: Treatment and Prevention," led by Dr. Mark McLaughlin, world-renowned neuro-surgeon, and several business seminars and workshops for mixed martial arts businesses led by track sponsor, MMA BUSINESS magazine.

"MMA Business is excited to be partnering with the MMA World Expo as sponsor of the Business Track seminars that are geared toward gym owners, distributors and MMA businesses," explained Richard Hendricks, Publisher of MMA Business magazine. "MMA World Expo has become one of the industry's premier events on the East Coast, and as the leading B2B publication serving this market, it makes sense for us to work together in growing both the sport and the business of Mixed Martial Arts."

MMA's superstars, including Bellator Fighting Championship's top-ranked fighters, will once again return to the spotlighted cage to offer up-and-close visits for fans. Appearances by Wanderlei Silva and Matt Hughes among others were one of the 2009show's highlights. 2010 photo and autograph signings will once again be offered throughout the course of the event. A full listing of featured fighter names will be announced shortly.

MSG Sports Partnership

Following the MMA World Expo's successful debut last October, the 2010 event is now expanding its marketing reach through a promotional partnership with MSG Sports. This joint promotion, incorporating Madison Square Garden's various sports and media platforms, will provide significant marketing exposure in the New York metropolitan area.

All tournaments, sessions and demos are included with admission price. Signings may carry an additional fee. Tickets will go on sales shortly, please check our website: www.mmaworldexpo.com for more information.
