Gavronski Defeats Ibarra in Thrilling 10 Round Main Event at Battle at the Boat 98

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Tacoma, Washington - Fans that made the trek to the Emerald Queen Casino for Battle at the Boat 98 were treated to one of the promotions most exciting fight cards of the year. Highlight reel knockouts and a show-stealing main event made the latest installment in the Battle at the Boat series an instant classic.

Tacoma’s own Mike “Imagine Me” Gavronski (15-1-1, 10 KO) won a unanimous decision victory over Gerardo Ibarra (14-2, 8 KO) in a 10-round main event war that had the crowd on their feet from beginning to end. After trading huge shots in the early rounds, Gavronski settled into a rhythm and worked the ring scientifically. His opponent came prepared however, and made it interesting until the final bell. The crowd exploded with approval as the decision was announced and showered both fighters with applause as they exited the ring.

In the semi-main event of the evening, hometown favorite Cameron Sevilla-Rivera (5-1, 4KO) suffered the first loss of his young career at the hands of talented Canadian, Aubrey Morrow (7-1-2, 6 KO) by 3rd round TKO. Sevilla-Rivera was able to recover after being dropped in the 1st with a powerful right hand, and exchanged massive headshots with his opponent for the next round and a half. The power of the more experienced Morrow proved to be too much however, as he sent Sevilla-Rivera to the canvas again in the 3rd, with Cameron unable to answer the referee’s 10-count.

Battle at the Boat 98 featured a card packed with talented fighters from top to bottom, with 4 undercard fights setting the pace for the evening. Results for the rest of the card are as follows:
