Gracie Proving Ground to Crown Contenders
COLUMBUS, October 26 — Ohio’s capital city on November 11th plays
host to the Gracie Fighting Championships, with “Gracie Proving
Ground,” a circuit leading into the next big GFC event in the first
quarter of 2007.
Headlining the Nov. card, three-time BJJ champion Vinicius "Pezao" Magalhaes Takes to the cage to face Black Dragon Martial Arts heavyweight fighter Chris Larkin.
Magalhaes in May of this year defeated highly regarded grappler Robert Drysdale at LA Sub-X’s inaugural Professional Submission League, held in Santa Monica, Calif.
Joining the heavyweights on GPG’s 15-bout-mega-card, Columbus police officer and GFC veteran Steve Conkel (Pictures) confronts Team Gurgel's Patrick Barrantine; Sean Salmon (Pictures) squares off with IVC and Meca Vale Tudo veteran Leopoldo Serao and Eli Ayars will lace up the leather with Nissen Osterneck.
