Grimshaw: I’ve never been in better shape

Grimshaw will be keen to make it three Cage Warriors wins out
of three when he returns to action at the HMV Forum in London next
weekend.
The Fulham-born 29-year-old (11-7-1) faces a stern test in the shape of Graham Turner at Cage Warriors 44. The bout will mark Grimshaw’s third appearance of the year on a Cage Warriors card, having already defeated Ismael Padavia and Patrick Peresa in 2011.
“Preparations for this fight have gone really well,” said Grimshaw.
“I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in. I know that’s a cliché
but it’s true.
“I never train specifically for any opponent. I just work on my own strengths and weakness so that when I step into the cage, I’m always closer to being a complete fighter.”
Grimshaw’s opponent, Graham Turner (17-6-1), also has a winning record on Cage Warriors. The 23-year-old Dinky Ninja made his debut with the promotion at Cage Warriors 40 back in February and secured a unanimous decision victory over Antanas Jazbutis.
“I know a lot about Graham and I respect him highly as a fighter,” Grimshaw added. “It’s going to be a very explosive fight - I mean, there’s rarely a boring Ashleigh Grimshaw fight. I’ve been in there with the best the UK has to offer and thrown down every time.
“I’m unbeaten on Cage Warriors so far and that’s obviously something I want to continue. It’s always great to fight on Cage Warriors. It’s one of the best shows around, its production is top notch and the level of fighters is through the roof.”
