High Fashion Meets Fighters with Janice Dickinson and Local

Local photographer, April Pishna from Pishna Photo in Denver, CO recently teamed with the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency and the International Fight League (IFL) for a unique fashion shoot combining Dickinson’s “high fashion” models with the grit of the IFL’s professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters.
Pishna has been working with the IFL since its inception in February 2006 and teamed up with Dickinson this past November at an IFL event in Portland. Having worked in MMA photography for nearly 10 years, Pishna was hired to assist Dickinson with the shoot, setting up the equipment, working with the fighters and taking many of the shots.
“Janice has an uncanny ability to see what’s hot,” stated Pishna after the shoot. “She is brassy and bold, but she knows her stuff.”
Known for her edgy, in your face style on her television show “The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency,” commenting to Pishna, Dickinson said, “I like you, you’re easy to work with.”
“The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency” airs on the Oxygen channel Wednesday nights at 10 pm EST. The events of this shoot are scheduled to air Wednesday, January 17 with replays airing throughout the week. Check your local listings for exact dates and times.
