Inside MMA Introduces a New In-Show Feature Series on Fighter Houses

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Los Angeles – AXS TV’s INSIDE MMA continues to offer compelling MMA news coverage with a new, monthly in-show feature ‘ON THE FRINGE’ documenting gym-sponsored fighter houses around the country. The first installment of ON THE FRINGE premieres in two parts during this week’s INSIDE MMA, tomorrow, September 12 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on AXS TV.

For the first installment of ON THE FRINGE, INSIDE MMA travels to the Grudge Training Center in Arvada, Colorado near Denver, where up to 16 fighters at a time, including WSOF fighters Justin Gaethje and Tyler Stinson, are housed in “The Grudge Fighter House” near the facility. Gaethje and Stinson live in the house year-round, but many of the residents use it as temporary housing during their training camp.

These fighters, many of whom are still fighting in the amateur circuit, have traveled from around the country to pursue their MMA dream. After making great sacrifices, including dropping out of college and leaving their friends and family, they often arrive at their gym without even a place to stay.

Many gyms, such as the Grudge Training Center, offer low-cost housing to the fighters, allowing them to focus on their training and put themselves in the best position to succeed. While the lifestyle and living quarters may not be pretty, the fighters are happy to rough it out for the opportunity of a lifetime.

INSIDE MMA will travel to a new gym each month to capture the lives of the MMA hopefuls residing in these fighter houses.

A short preview clip of ON THE FRINGE is available here:

ON THE FRINGE joins a stacked episode of INSIDE MMA, which features host Kenny Rice’s interview with newly appointed Nevada State Athletic Commission board member Anthony Marnell and correspondent Ron Kruck’s coverage of “The Ultimate Fighter 20” premiere in Los Angeles as a part of the night’s schedule.
